Well that sounds like plan there :like:
Do they have a $2.00 markup like Blue Springs Ford does when I order online and do in person pickup. They honor the online price somewhat, just that fee.
Had an act of stupid yesterday. Saw 5 squirrels come out from under the backside of the truck and decided to drop my spare to make sure they weren't trying to build a nest or store food on top of the tire. Well after raising the spare back into place and getting everything put away I left my...
I bet you have some green crusties somewhere on the harness or damaged wires.
I would start at the sensors and work my way back looking for damage. Or try to find a wire schematic on this site. It has a lot of good info.
Looking at the rust on the flex tube I agree with airline tech.
Could try checking with some bottled water on the flex hose and see if you notice a change in the hiss.
Curious if its the wires going to fan clutch.
Known issue, the hose that supports the wires going to the fan clutch can deteriorate and cause issues like you describe.
So with normal pump gas the 10% is not enough to provide the cooling you guys are talking about and less chance of pre ignition as well and the engine still needs a tune take advantage of the higher % of mix.
Been running 91 o% alcohol on my stock Ranger and have seen a decent improvement in...
Frenchy's thread got me thinking about this. And I don't cause a thread slide.
And some of the answers reminded me of some lack of understanding I have about alcohol in our fuel.
Seen other people mention they would love to run a higher mix of ethanol in there gas. Always thought alcohol...
I typically hear those called bulk connectors because of crap ton of wires in them.
But Airline tech is right. Try to avoid cutting any wire that you can by de pinning the good ones. Less chance of future problems.
Thanks, for the great info. Now I just need the time to check and see if the wires are there and power. Been busy and probably going to stay busy for the next month.
If you can, ask what failed and the cause of the failure. Don't know if they will tell you but would be nice to know. These engines are supposed to be pretty robust and I've only seen a couple of threads with engine failure, so not worried just curious.
Thats the one thing I miss about my old truck was the auto dim mirror.
I have an XL so I figured the harness is different. Used to be if you had an XLT or higher trim line the harness was the same but in the lower trim they had different (cheaper) harness.
Don't know if this line of thinking...
Over on the other side. We had around 6"-8" of snow. Work called and said stay home, so all I did today was scrape the windows and shoveled the drive. now its time to stay warm.
