I was hoping you'd chime in on this one..... :)
I'm not sure how I can test for power ACROSS the fuse (those fuses don't have the little metal spot you can touch a test light/multimeter too - but I did confirm that there is power to one of the posts with the fuse out - so that circuit is...
So I appear to have encountered a very strange problem. I have had a cigarette lighter adapter in the right hand socket in my truck for a few years now - it has worked perfectly for any passengers. Last weekend, my buddy and I went hiking and he went to plug his phone in and it didn't charge -...
I dunno, I've been a member of this forum for almost 6 years now and I've been enjoying my Ranger for 5 1/2 years now.....
I toyed with getting a new Ranger if/when they came out with a PHEV, but I'm now planning to keep this one long term - it is paid for, I've outfitted it how I like...
I'm guessing it is catching on the fitting into the trans. My early dipstick would catch all the time, but the new one Mike sent goes in smooth now. I'd just gently try and insert it a few times and I'm sure it will go in.
FWIW, I have a pretty much fully loaded 2019 Lariat - I've had zero electronic/computer issues. The only odd thing I have (which was caused by a Sync update) is the computer voice freezes for a bit periodically - she will continue talking at some point but will just freeze for a couple seconds...
I read somewhere (maybe here?) that older versions of FordPass would not work due to underlying changes they made. I think you are out of luck unfortunately.
Another option - a Weize battery - I bought this about a year ago on sale for $126 with free shipping. I installed it about a month ago and so far so good. It is currently on sale for $149...
My understanding of the reset of the BMS basically tells the BMS that the battery is new (it has a date it was installed) so it alters how the BMS maintains the battery.
Modern vehicles are a lot harder on batteries than they used to be and I learned years ago that it is difficult to know your...
If you've read the thread, lots of people (myself included) have had the DPFE sensor changed which fixes the issue. It is a relatively cheap part that is relatively easy to replace.
Let us know what you find out. I have a shudder when braking but it isn't consistent. I need to look at the rear brakes and I've thought about the slip joint too.
I will have to experiment with that - I'm not worried about it being squeaky clean - I just want to remove all that crap periodically. My truck only gets really clean once or twice a year..... The rest of the year it is a quick wash and maybe vacuuming out the interior.
Yesterday I also...
I spent a few hours yesterday doing my trucks annual "clean up", including waxing it. One thing I've never found a good method for is to clean out the "gaps" - like around the rear window, around the front window, around the rails on the roof. The rails on the roof on mine accumulate needles -...
Are those marks cracks? Or something else? I'm having similar symptoms and pretty sure it is the rear brakes. I need to pull the rear wheels and look at the rotors.
Here is a relevant back story - Many years ago, I stopped at a tire place to get a flat fixed - I thought I could limp into the place with my flat tire, but I let it go too long, too flat and I destroyed the sidewall so they couldn't fix it - it needed to be replaced. They didn't have the...
I've got a bit over 48k on mine now, and I use it as a truck - it has always done what I've asked of it, many times surpassing my expectations. I love this truck!
Is it perfect? No, but it is pretty darn close for me.
