Are you towing on the regular LMS 91-93 tune? They specifically state that could cause issues as the performance tune is not intended for towing (even if you engage tow mode).
I keep the tuner in the truck in case I need to swap to the tow tune for towing. Hasn't happened yet, but I'm ready...
FYI, I just replaced my original '19 battery. It was still working but the battery tester said it needed to be replaced (41%) and I felt like I did pretty well getting almost 5 1/2 years out of the original.
Yeah, that one of the very few advantages to the 6G - the other one that intrigues me is the Trailer Backup assist - but neither of them come anywhere close to the biggest feature my truck has - it is paid for.... Not to mention the extras I've installed on it to make it do what I need which...
Strange - The HVAC is working really well. I had someone in the truck the other day and he wanted me to turn it down - the A/C was working TOO well.
Maybe I'll poke around that actuator and see if something is loose or something.
Thanks
Given how much electronics, etc there are on this truck I can't complain at all getting over 5 years on a battery. As I recall the internal resistance on my old battery was like 8 ohms and it was only at about 340CCA.
This thread, with the battery tester that @subquark posted got me to finally test my battery. I bought the same tester he did, and it came today. I've had a replacement battery sitting in my garage for almost a year now, in anticipation of needing to replace my battery. I was still on my...
This isn't the magnets but I used thumbscrews with rivnuts - works GREAT - I think this is more or less what later models have instead of the plastic "screws":

I was going to say - the manual says to replace at 100k - I did mine about 40k and they were already looking a bit tired. I can only imagine what 100k plugs would look like.
Happy Belated Birthday, Dave!
Mine is coming up in a few weeks - I've got a year on you, but hopefully next spring I will be joining the "everyday is Saturday" crowd....
Thread drift - I didn't do anything with the Ranger today, but I did take the '73 Capri to an All Ford show and won second...
I was going to say the same thing. Misfire on #4 sounds like the COP problem.
Counterfeit parts are becoming a big problem on Amazon - Project Farm did a bit on counterfeit batteries - Milwaukee. DeWalt and Makita. It was pretty scary honestly. The knock offs looked IDENTICAL to the real...
I now use my oil changes as an excuse to rotate my tires so it doesn't even matter, but even before I did it, it was very simple. I just don't get the hate for the location of the oil filter. It may not be the absolute BEST place, but it certainly isn't a bad place, IMO.
Like I said, it is good stuff - with as particular as the 10R80 is, I just personally wouldn't want to take a chance there was something "unique" in the Motorcraft version. I doubt there is, but one never knows. They are both good - but expensive.
Personally, I'd stick with the Motorcraft, but the Valvoline is good stuff too. Rockauto.com is a good place to get it, unless you can find a sale locally.
I see and feel your pain every single day...... It isn't about what is right, it is about how anything can be spun to be a positive. Senior management is so clueless because those below them never want to deliver bad news - so EVERYTHING is "great".
I'm hoping I have < 37 weeks until I can...
