As someone who went thru this recently - Make 100% positive your adapter is good. Both ports are fused independently. I had an adapter that had an intermittent short which would blow the fuse. The first time I looked at the fuse it looked OK, but it was indeed blown. Replacing the adapter...
It does seem to be a crap shoot on what you get with pretty much all manufacturers these days. I'm at 5 1/2 years in, almost 50k miles and nothing except normal maintenance.
I have to say I've been REALLY happy with this truck. It has done EVERYTHING I've asked of it - and I've asked a lot at...
Glad it all worked out OK for you. I work with someone in FL and they had to bug out for a bit, but he is back now and he said all is good thankfully, just some light rain now.
These storms this year are insane.....
The other thing I might mention - while the 10R80 has its quirks, it seems our little 2.3 is a mighty solid power plant. I've heard less than stellar things about the 2.7, however.
For me, the 6G doesn't have anything that would entice me to trade at this point. I'd love a Raptor but I can't...
You didn't list my choice - Kirkland Full Synthetic - it is good enough for our retired Ford Engineer, so it is good enough for me - and it is significantly cheaper than anything else.
It's in the owners manual - I always have to look it up - Page 79 on my version:
Resetting the Memory of the
Electric Windows - Vehicle with
One Touch Up/Down on Driver
Side only
Note: The bounce back feature remains
turned off until you reset the memory.
In the event of a flat battery or after...
Given that your auto window function quit, I'd vote for a failing battery as well. When I replaced my battery I had to reset the auto up/down function.
The Goodyear wranglers on my old Rangers I really liked. None of the Firestone's I've ever had have ever felt anywhere close to quality and they always wore out REALLY, REALLY fast (like < 20k). I'd never buy another set of Hankooks either - I hated those on my truck - seemed like the only...
To me, Bridgestone and Firestone are two VERY different tires. I've had good luck in the past with Bridgestone tires, but I've always HATED Firestones that I've gotten as OEM tires on a new vehicle. They weren't very good and always wore out VERY quickly.
My 2003 Ranger did this once - it had to be towed (flat bed) to a dealer and the electric motor that enabled 4 low was replaced.
Wondering if you can pull any DTCs from the computer? That might narrow things down. I'd bet some electrical component has failed.
I have checked mine a couple of times but the hose seems fine thus far - but I'm going to continue to watch it closely. At the first sign of any degradation I'm going for the "curved hose" fix - seems simple, easy and effective
I understand things may be difficult and people make mistakes, but it seems like in so many areas the whole concept of integrity is disappearing. The tech did an incompetent job and didn't own up to it. Honestly, not re-installing a sway bar (as someone else mentioned) could be a huge safety...
I get it - I just hate dealing with the dealers who seem to be more and more incompetent. It is becoming extremely difficult to find a competent dealer that you can trust.
They only do it for certain types of deliveries, not all - not sure who/what, but you don't always see it. It seems like they are rolling it out to more types of deliveries though.
