Post 13 picture. Iām like 7x9 plus 6ā just at he A/C. So
i am 56 sq ft basically. The awning sticks out a bit, but essentially Iām pretty close to the max and have no issues.
I personally feel the stock mirrors are barely adequate, and I have significantly better, faster sight lines with...
Iām not Grumpa, but yes I use premium when towing, but if I canāt get it, I can still tow fine. Unloaded I use regular. I have an Equalizer 10K hitch used with a previous truck and trailer. Itās over kill for my Escape 19, but I already had it. I prefer the ride with a WDH, eliminates...
Late to the thread, but my 4X2 is mostly used for towing. Stock rear shocks were pretty bad to me. After a test drive I knew it would be one of my first changes. I have a stock front and 4600ās on the rear with the blue Sumoās. It has worked very well for me like this.
I donāt know how Ford calculates it, but itās only 55sq ft for the Ranger rating. Width will increase resistance, and visibility decreases; plus, depending on the driver, possibly fatigue over equal time.
The Scamp is 6ā8ā wide. There are many 7ā wide trailers. I have trailers from 7ā to 8...
Towed with the Ranger today for the first time with the new ClearView mirrors with BLISS. As per the thread, the mirrors along with the truck as normal, had no issues.
I have an Escape 19. 4650lbs loaded and ready to go with 560lbs tongue weight. Itās probably the heaviest Escape 19. I put Bilstien 4600 shocks on the back only because I did not like the ride of the stock shocks. I have a 2021 2WD XLT scab. I have the Ford variant of the Redarc brake...
BTW, max Hp according to Ford is 5,500 RPM, and redline is 6000-6500RPM depending on who you read. So as little time as mine spends over 4000, Iām not sweating it. I have a hard time just getting tranny fluid up to 206F to check it.
Mine does that on hills that you want to pick up speed on at the bottom, but Iāve fever seen more than 4500 RPM. Many hills it doesnāt do it, but often when you look down the road and hit the gas it doesnāt let go as fast as I wish, but never 5000 RPM.
Mark, I will continue praying for you, your mom, and that those around you, including home health, step up to help you as well. It reads like you are doing well at prioritizing and juggling everything thrown at you.
Not yet. Iāll drive it about 38 miles tomorrow and then weāll see. The app still canāt find oil life. Will probably have to delete and reinstall.
As a sidenote, last oil report:
Did my 3rd oil change. With the first two, the app and truck reset the oil life monitor automatically. On the third, it has not reset. I finally went to the truck menus and reset it. The app, 8 days later, has still not rest. Tire pressure, fuel, mileage all updated at least twice, but oil life...
The DS one is looser, but I shake the whole truck running it in and out. I tow often. I bought the truck specifically for trips. Of the 11,000 miles on the truck, 8000 are towing. Iām sure over time I may eventually ask how to tighten them up!
Installed mine this morning. DS mirror is very stiff to move in and out. Iām glad they fold for my garage since they are wider than stock. Iād guess 3ā wider total for both. I have the mid grade with BLISS.
They were easy to install. I used the Allen wrench L shaped style Torx wrench and did...
I would prefer not to have them, but my wife likes them and uses them whenever we take the Ranger. She would complain until I installed them, so they were ordered before the truck arrived.
