  1. Clearview Towing Mirrors

When they become available, I will buy. I held off until BLISS was included. I’ve seen them some places for international shipping, but without the electrical connections. What I have works well, but is clunky and a hassle to install and adjust all of the time...
  2. What Is the Name/Nickname of Your Ranger?

Yoga, the truck is so smart.
  3. Tank not filling all the way

RP you could always buy the damper and resell it. There was no claim to actually install it.
  4. Anyway to make tow / haul default on unless turned off

Thanks, I’ve thought about it. I’ll probably check wires first, but any custom stuff will probably have to wait until later.
  5. Anyway to make tow / haul default on unless turned off

I don’t have Forscan or a reliable PC laptop. I’d rather do something at the switch if I can, but do still want to be able to turn it off sometimes. I’m getting ready to tow daily until December, and if I have to cook up a solution, I probably wonā€˜t have time for that until December. So it may...
  6. Anyway to make tow / haul default on unless turned off

I find I forget to hit the tow/haul button all of the time. I use this like a truck. I use tow haul more than not. I’d like to turn it off only sometimes. I did buy the auto stop eliminator plug in module. Is there something like this for tow / haul?
  7. Transmission fluid level check

I have no idea how to get it over 200. I’ve never seen that on my Scangauge.
  8. NVH vs Shimmy Diagnoser

    Thanks for the info.
  9. NVH vs Shimmy Diagnoser

Has anyone compared these two apps, and / or have experience with them?
  10. Unlocking truck using the key...

I don’t carry the fob. It’s too big for my liking. I have a small chipped key I programmed using the two fobs. Even if I use the lock / unlock buttons on the door, I still have to turn the key to acc to stop the alarm. I wish too that I could simply turn the alarm off.
  11. What are you guys towing?

2021 Escape 19. Mine is 3850 dry, up to 5000 loaded. These are semi custom, so dry weights can vary quite a bit. Pulled it home on a ball. Have an Equalizer WDH to set up soon.
  12. This is why we park far away

It’s probably me in my 1998 C 2500. Just like the new Ranger, I still park it away, even though the 3/4 ton looks like the work truck it is.
  13. Scab owners

2021 XLT 2WD Supercab. I thought the rear shocks did not control the rear spring very well. I put Bilstein 4600’s on the rear of mine and think it makes a nice difference. It’s not stiffer, but controls the rebound better. I find it rides like a truck, but I bought it to be my lighter duty truck...
  14. Brand loyalty???

ā€œWhat strikes me is how many cars some of you have owned.ā€. I thought that too. I am 59 and the Ranger is my 9th vehicle including the early years junkers and what I inherited through marriage.
  15. Brand loyalty???

I’m probably the odd man out. I try to figure out what will meet my needs for the life of the vehicle. I buy new and drive them until there’s nothing left. I have a ā€˜98 C2500. It was thousands less than a Dodge or Ford at the time and drove and rode more comfortably. It’s been very reliable. I...
  16. Scangague II cylinder head temp

After driving some, not a lot, on flat to gentle hills unloaded and not towing with temps between the high 50’s and low 90’s F, my head temp mostly hangs between 16-169F, and my trans temps run about 20F higher.
  17. Adding a battery to battery charger

Solar is not enough. It’s a small trailer so one 200 watt panel on the back is it. I’ll run 6 or 8 gauge minimum. I really don’t want a compressor fridge. I can boondock a long time on propane.
  18. Adding a battery to battery charger

Yes it’s the heating element. I don’t want a compressor fridge for various reasons, and I don’t like to drive on propane. So for about 6 hours 3 or 4 days a week, the fridge is on 12v while traveling.
  19. Adding a battery to battery charger

If needed, the Renology can be limited from 20 amps to 10, but that won’t keep the battery charged. Also, it shouldn’t pull that much unless I let the battery get low to begin with. It also does not run full draw full time, but in hot weather will pull much of that, much of the time. I realize...
