I too use solder on certain applications - usually when I make a lighting harness. it just makes a cleaner job. and agree on quality solder joints (I still struggle) and Phil's point for not soldering. But I account for both by not having them in critical paths, ie if the line fails nothing...
I went with RC rear shocks as they where cheaper and in stock at the time. And I HAD to get rid if the FX4 shocks!
Thinking a full set of Boosting but maybe should consider just getting RC front coil overs
My OCD is trying to send me out to the driveway (in the cold) to check my fuses against the factory repair manual. The only thing keeping me warm, and inside, is the fact that I already know the manual has mistakes!

I got mine replaced under warranty - just realized they didn't know how to install it properly. And its the same stiff crappy material. How much more could i cost to use the same material as the shifter boot!?

Well just picked up my Truck. Rattle fixed! Turns out it was the rear shocks not the tonneau cover.
My rear shocks were loose. ? When I replaced the spongy Fx4s I had some issues with missing bushings and when I re-installed the last time I forgot to torque them to spec. ?

Funny I just dropped off my truck yesterday for a rattle coming from back end. I thought it was suspension. They told me they could not diagnose with my folding Undercover and hitch cap and bed extender. Took it home last night and removed the hitch cover and bed extender, 30 deg this morning...
Well 30 deg morning and truck did not buck coming pulling away from my driveway. But will keep an eye on it.
As problem seems to be water or moisture in the EGR control valve has anyone noticed if its worse when rainy?
