It may require a dealer to perform a live network test if it's intermittent. Could be a module, a ground issue, communication circuit issue. I've even seen very strong RFI cause network problems.
Ford doesn't train us to do anything. They announce something new like ford pass, a year or two goes by, they sometimes actually go through with it, then they leave us to figure out how it works when a customer asks to use it. It's embarrassing when a customer knows more about our product than...
You might check local laws but i believe it's unlawful for them to not allow you to take your vehicle. Another option is calling Ford Motor Companies customer service and asking what they can do for the fact that you're making a payment on a truck this month that you can't drive.

I just did the inspection on my Ranger. I've never had an issue with it but the inspection failed, 1 pin pulled out of the connector. Talked to the parts man and parts won't be available until early January.
This style of connector is not new to Ford, been seeing them for a while. Pin fit issues are not new either, anyone that works on 2011 and newer Super Dutys will likely know connector C210 very well.
Something often overlooked while performing an alignment is rear thrust angle. Front toe may be spot on but if thrust angle is off the wheel won't appear centered. Any chance you have a printout from the alignment?
My dad bought me one of those little electric John Deere gators when i was a kid. I remember how fun it was to drive around the farm in it and want to give my boy the same experience. Looks like he might be getting an f150 though, i can't find a ranger.
