I can't think of any model year Ford that hasn't had at least one recall in the last 20 years. Connectors part numbers have now been sorted out as of January 31st and they should be getting it shortly.
Thank you! I try to make every job look just as good or better than factory. Even when we get 20 year old vehicle in, I try to make it look like no one has ever touched it.
I'm not saying there isn't an issue with these seats but my scrawny ass has done this to every leather seat I've owned. My 2011 Flex Limited and 2014 Fusion even had stitching across the cusion cover and it still bubbled like that.
Here is the two replacement connectors. The male is on top, still assembled. The new female down below depinned.
Here is the broken female connector

The first truck complete and reassembled.
This is the male connector about to be installed on my truck. Not...
I ordered a male connector for one truck and a female for another. Both were incorrectly packaged, luckily i was able to just swap the packages and repair both trucks yesterday. I will try to post pictures of the repair process soon.
I looked through the dealer bulletin again and it appears that it was pin misalignment during manufacturing of the harness. Whether that means they were installed incorrectly or assembled with bad pins I'm not sure. Here is that section copy and pasted.
REASON FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL

No i have not replaced it. I work at the dealer as a diesel technician and I'm so used to hearing a vgt sweep on a diesel that i don't notice the waste gate actuator unless someone else brings it up. Any dealer shouldn't have a problem replacing it if you're bothered by the noise.
I have no way to know for sure. My best guess is a machine that was out of alignment, either during manufacturing of the harnes or when the connectors are joined together.
