The ProCal comes blank. They need to download the software, update the tuner, load the stock tune off the truck, upload the stock tune to the computer, download the actual tune, then finally tune the truck.

K&N compares their filters to aftermarket replacement filters, not OEM and I know how terrible the flow of a parts house filter is. If someone could actually prove it offers increased airflow without compromising the ability to filter I would install one. Until then I'll stick to Motorcraft filter.

I work at a Ford dealer. We still get most Ford Performance parts from AER. Unless they changed something and never told us, I asked our parts manager about it last week.
The dealers purchases from the list on on Ford Performance website then mark up the price. It's much cheaper to buy through an authorized Ford Performance dealer.
