The factory sway bar links use plastic and there have been a few of us that have broken them offroading. It's a cheap upgrade, don't hesitate. It might be placebo but my cornering I thought felt better after upgrading to the very stout Mevotech TTX.
I have the Fox level that’s 2.5” in front on stock UCAs and my truck aligns all in the green. That’s why I ask what’s the point of a UCA upgrade
Like the Icon UCAs look like a great upgrade over stock but unless you have a huge lift or off road all the time I don't see how the expense is even...
I have 70k miles on my Fox 2.0 and it's getting near time for a rebuild, they are starting to sway a little bit. They are a huge upgrade over stock and unless you really really want an upgrade it's not worth it.
If you want an upgrade the ICONs are the way to go on the Ranger I think...
Don't buy the wrong adapter cap like I did, it is NOT the 3-prong, it is the fully threaded one.
And yes you should flush and bleed the brakes, especially if you use traction control a lot in the winter and adaptive cruise on the highway. That type of use is the ABS module beating away at the...
Those are chinesium garbage. Ford sells a set in their Ranger accessories, get those. I got a set of Gorilla brand keyed black nuts before Ford had them back in 2019.
$30 DIY sounds like a better venture than a $300 dealer service they upsell all the time. Just make sure and find a spot AFTER the turbo. Someone could post a pic that has done this on the Ranger which would help everyone out.
It doesn't seem necessary to me. Let us know how giving $300 to a dealership goes for ya
On my Tbird, the ancient Ford 2.3T, the experts decades back were pretty clear about the need to inject Seafoam or similar cleaners AFTER the turbo. You do not want to mess with the oil seals in the turbo...
I have looked around for a nice cross reference part lookup for plugs on the 2.3 EB and have not been able to find anything good. It would be a valuable community resource if we could put one together or find a good one.
It might be placebo but I think I idle smoother now and have nicely...
Don't see how so. If you want an upgrade over stock find the same temperature plug as the SP594 in a performance format like the Denso Iridium Power with the u-groove, their marketing says it's a 1.4% power increase from the enhanced spark.
yeah the recommendation seems to come from Ford Performance based on the 2.3 in Focus and Mustang with a tune, which is higher boost than stock. In theory the only risk is a colder plug runs the risk of not self cleaning properly. But again even stock this is a boosted application. I’ll report...

Several bucks over the Motorcraft SP594 with a slight performance upgrade of the u-groove, and colder which is better for more boost / tunes. It's a no...
Yes, do brake fluid every year or two. Traction control and adaptive cruise both fire the ABS to work. And since brake fluid doesn't actually circulate since brakes are hydraulic, that fluid just gets pounded away in the ABS module.
This. Coefficient of thermal expansion for aluminum (heads) and steel (plugs) are different and with the fine thread pitch there's a reason they recommend warm, and not cold soaked or heat soaked in the shop manual.
Did mine today. It was pretty easy but #4 definitely needs some patience to get the coil boot back on without wedging it into the open space around the plug and not actually line up with and sink onto the plug.
~73k miles, FP tune since ~21k miles, plugs did not look bad but they are worn. The...
