I did this in order:
(Removing only three clips will not cut it)
1. Loosen the cap on the engine coolant reservoir to de-pressure
the "cold" reservoir.
2. Pulled the engine coolant reservoir line off by de-pressing
the square tab, on top of the hose connector.
3. Unclipped and pulled the IAT...
Around 30K replace engine air filter - be very, very careful!
This should be the easiest maintenance on the 2019/20 Ford Ranger?
Per owner's manual:
( Ref. Dec. 2019)
1. Remove the clips that secure the air
filter housing cover.
2. Carefully lift the air filter housing cover.
3. Remove the air...
No need to - just get out your reading glasses.

"The Lone Ranger" - seems like nobody wants to park their vehicle beside mine
I really don't understand why?
The chrome ornament bar is spring loaded that will add true meaning to payback for careless door dingers.
If I am not mistaken but there are no DIY projects by "wanted33" in this DIY section:question:
Thanks for the compliment.
Here are mine ...
1. Winch with custom made table/stand
2. Truck bed crane used with 2" tow receiver
3. Screen mesh window - for optional rear window.
4. Truck bed protector...
You, of all people, being a fellow Canadian, criticizing my Canadian Newfie engineering skills
that I obtained from St. John's Engineering Academy in Newfoundland.
I believe this automation system is the only one in existence for the 2019/20 Ford Ranger.
You neglected to read my...
I always thought a truck was for work. Ford proved me wrong with the Ranger.
Now they changed their minds - again.
Ford plans to differentiate its upcoming all-electric F-150 from expected pickups by Tesla and GM by
retaining the vehicle’s focus on work rather than recreation...
Further research (from the same company) yielded this special mini "track" actuator.
This would relieve/eliminate two major concerns with the present mini linear actuator in this project that:
1. Blocks the window opening with the stroke actuator push rod.
2. Blocks the window opening "field of...
Reviewing some of the forum members comments about this project - these are my thoughts:
Plexiglass can be used instead of wood for the base plate for the actuator. This will allow better
vision out the rear window. The only downside is the cost of 3/8" plexiglass and the need for
special...
A bit of humor ...
Looking in "on the outside" of the rear window with the metal bar across the opening, it looks
like the occupants are incarcerated in a Ford Ranger prison. Now if I could electrify the metal
linear actuator rod it would create a 100% foolproof Ranger prison.
The grinding...
yes but
Price:
CDN$ 297.99 + CDN$ 50.00 shipping
and this cost does not include a drive motor + motor driver + remote control RF electronics.?
Anything can be engineered, now days, but at what cost?
This drive mechanism cannot "only" drive the sliding rear window at the top or bottom due to...
Great idea - you probably need to acquire some plastic "glue welding" skills to create all the necessary mounting for the linear actuator.

Just a thought ...
100 mm = ~ 4" - too short ?
200 mm = ~ 8" - will possibly work
300 mm = ~ 12" - too long ?
Note: Window "swing" span is ~ 12" but you need to find the "overall length" of these linear actuators to see if they would fit and can be mounted in the rear window with no obstructions.
