A previous forum member tried, for one year, and never finished his un-obtrusive design on this forum.

He got ~5k views from his unfinished project.
I might add that an un-obtrusive design will raise the cost...
Safety: The obvious question arises "what if there is an accidental crash?" . In my XL SuperCab application I use it only for tool storage and no humans are allowed in the back since the space is so small. Since I constructed a two piece wood base plate for the automation system, I believe, in a...
Yes, this mini actuator has a large stroke rod but this one is the smallest I could find.
Also, I made this system easy to remove in about two minutes when the summer season is finished.
Rear window remote RF wireless open/close automation on the 2019/20 Ford Ranger.
Ford and other third party vendors do not have an automatic open/close system for the 2019/20 Ford Ranger's "optional" rear window so I decided DIY and build one on my own. My application is to crack open the rear...

Out in rural Ohio, my friends loss electrical power to their home during some heavy rainfall.
Their basement 1/3 HP sump pump was inoperative, due to loss of electricity, so I took my
Ranger, with inverter, and a long extension cord to...
Duralast 1000 Watt Mobile Power Outlet Application #2
We borrowed a small 1.7 cubic foot refrigerator from a friend. This Walmart model Galanz GL17BK only uses 0.8 Amps @ 120 AC and just fits my Ford Ranger height of 19.5" under my DIY Tonneau truck bed cover. We were having several outings...
I don't think there is a IP67, weatherproof, water resistant power inverter made but if there was it would be the most expensive inverter to buy. I just put a DIY Gorilla duct tape flap over the Duralast receptacles to protect the inverter from liquid spillage.
Updated - clarification. I might...
