Make sure you are on the latest version 3.4.23188. Anything older has built-in issues that develop over time.
And if all the fuses and wiring are good, you might try pulling the fuses (or disconnecting the battery) for a short time to let all the hardware completely reset.
What type of mp3 player and are you on Sync 3.4.23188? If on an earlier version of Sync, I would update to 23188 as it resolved a lot of issues with older versions.
If you are current on Sync and if it worked before and now suddenly doesnāt, assuming you made no changes to the settings/setup...
Some 2023 Explorers are part of yet another Ford recall, this one for a stalling issue. Maybe this is what you experienced, maybe notā¦. Worth checking out.

But before replacing it, have you tried pulling the Telematics fuse or disconnecting the battery to reset the hardware?
