Today I installed a Hopkins Insight Brake Control. It and the Redarc are about the only ones I could find which I could find a good mounting place.
The installation was beautiful and the pictures were lousy! Maybe I'll get a few good ones tomorrow.

I’ve got the same one, but I put the manual override toggle near the headlight switch

That's the beauty of it . Some installers put the read out on the dash like a tiny tach.
The variations are great to meet personal preference.
So far I like it... The only thing I don't really like is that the little LED in the control module is permanently on... and I don't really need it at all.

Today I took my Scamp out for the first time with the Ranger. The Hopkins Insight Brake Controller performed well beyond my expectations.
It is easy, even intuitive, to operate. It is the most responsive of any brake controller I have ever used. the settings are simple and understandable with even minor changes felt incrementally.

The versatility of locating the control and the read out made it seem like it was factory engineered.
It even "almost" looks OEM.
The Ranger has the longest wheelbase of any Tow Vehicle I have owned, yet It handles the Scamp well and is comfortable to drive with the trailer attached.
At 2000 pounds, my trailer is no strain to tow of course, heck it could ride in the box if it would fit!
Soon I will install a new axle and bigger brakes on the trailer which should make it amazing.
Next trip will be 1200 miles and I will report back again.
