Hey All,

Have recently taken a couple trips with my 2018 Geo Pro 14fk. Have a wireless brake controller/connector but have noticed it is not actually activating the trailer brakes when applying the brake pedal. The electrical connections (signals/brakes etc seem to be fine).

We used the same unit to tow with a 2018 Jeep Wrangler previously without any problems.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Paul

The way Ford did the trailer brakes on the Ranger is weird. Most have had issues as well. My suggestion is to get the Ford approved trailer brake controller. Yes it costs a bit but it is by RedArc wich is made in Australia and is top quality stuff. It also works with the active braking that the Ranger has.

I'd contact the manufacturer. I think people have reported that there were updates to a different wireless controller that improved operation. If they can't help you're probably out of luck.
