When this thread first posted I went looking for the Pioneer sub enclosure Rangerous used. He must have picked up the last one in the world. Some sites said they were discontinued. So I've spent the time since that post trying to find a suitable substitute. Many boxes came close (and may have worked) but ended up being just a little too big

Good news....they are back in stock....at least at Crutchfield. Heading in tomorrow to add the sub finally.

I went through the same thing before I bought my truck. I even ordered one and was told weeks later that it was discontinued. I ended up buying a Lariat with B&O sound. That solved my problem. LOL

I had a nice alpine 10 in my old 04 Ranger and really miss the thump. I want a direct plugin or adapter plugin that I can upgrade my B&O sub to something aftermarket. If any one finds anything, please post it! I need my bass!

Yes. 10 inch shallow mount pioneer sub is all i was able to fit using a shallow wedge box also built by pioneer. Some carpeting had to be cut behind the box. See below.

I contacted the eBay seller "baysideautostyling" for the dual sub box [crew-cab] regarding shipping costs to the USA in general.

They responded back they can ship to the USA & had past quotes of $300 for shipping. Ouch...

Waiting to see if there's one "local" in NA that might be fabricating one up for sale in the near future....

I ended up building my own setup. Using 3/4” MDF as a top plate and using the factory storage bin. I used a retro seal for sealing MDF to plastic with screws holding it together. Sound deadening inside and out speaker output connector sealed as well. Kenwood Excelon 10” with a Rockford Fosgate 500x1. I have had this setup for a while in Kenwoods own downfire box, which wouldn’t work in this truck so made this setup. Sounds clean and crisp. No distortion and the Excelon is perfect candidate as it only requires .6cu ft. Sealed or ported (which this equates to it almost perfect by my math) this is just a representation of an option and more than likely not always the best option! And yes it does clear the seat frame.

Nice! What was you're out of pocket and time for build and install?

So for this I had the amp and subwoofer from previous vehicle. But on their own separately the sub is about $170.00 the amp was about $220.00, PAC in line converter for line level outputs $20.00, wiring kit $30.00, sound deadening $70.00, 3.4” MDF sheet (small hobby sheet) $10.00, carpet $10.00, butyl sealant $10.00, misc odds and ends screws wire crimps etc. $15.00. $555.00 total. But since I have the sub, amp, and input converter it was cheaper. I think it’s worth it.

I Will be installing this exact Subwoofer system (Minus the front speakers) I don't get too crazy loud. I will Update with my individual results.

Looking forward to it. Any time frame?

I am curious on the fitment and closing the seat.

Thanks!

Just waiting on the Sub to get here from the Factory. Should be installing Sunday if all goes well. I will post pictures of my build and any helpful info I can post.
