The base model will be covered by Medicare part Z. Recalls will require a trip to China 😆 helping Fords bottom line.

Wow - they are sitting on dealer lots at MSRP in my area and depreciating as quickly as any other vehicle that overstays it’s welcome.
I noticed that on Friday when I was at my Ford dealer for oil change and walked the showroom chocked full of marked up Broncos/F-150's/Mustang GT's that have been there for months and not selling. With gas prices well over $4 per gallon for 87 octane.....why would anyone buy a Ford with a big engine and/or a supercharger?

Any time a very desirable item sits without selling for a long time, it is almost always due to price.

The perceived value to the buyer must be close to the perceived value of the seller.

When there is a big discrepancy between the two, they are either going to fly off the shelves or sit there forever.

While all this is 100% spot on the other problem right now is the economy, it sucks! 🤬

People, even those who spend recklessly don't have any extra money because everything from gas, food, insurance, property taxes, utilities and so on are going up now weekly. Heck, I just filled up last Saturday at Costco on our way home from Sedona at $3.89 and today it's up to $4.25 and this is for 87 regular. Then add in that credit card debt is at an all time high, car loans going into delinquency are on the rise and we're teetering on a recession. Fun times!

Car loans underwater, mortgages underwater, and at the moment, the Canadiens look like they’re underwater. :(

But at the same time return on investments is at an all time high pretty much keeping seniors ahead of inflation and toys in the budget. I definitely think it will all come crashing down in the near future again.

I still wonder how those that paid $20K-$30K OVER msrp for their Broncos feel now. lol

Usually these are the same people who make a lifetime of poor choices and then tell everyone life screwed them, poor me and that they'll never be able to retire. 🤦‍♂️
lol that is my exact thought, Bronco and even Bronco Sport (of all vehicles) had markups when new.

I just hope the people paying the F150 Raptor markups of +$20k are wealthy and it doesn't make a financial dent on them. Then I can at least understand, it is what it is.

If someone only has $30k to put on a truck, and it goes only to the markup, yikes. I hope they at least own the home they live in because that is pretty much down payment money on a house.

My local dealer still marks up the Ranger Raptor. I noticed they sold the one on the lot, so I asked the salesman what the markups are on them. He mentioned $10k but most can negotiate it down to $5k or so. Hard pass for me, I too would go out of state. For convenience, I would consider a max of $1-2k which is around transportation cost if I got one at MSRP out of state.

Per the bolded.....I don't see how it can't!

I'll admit I was starting to get a little worried when the market went from its high of 50,500 down to 45,000 in about a month o_O. Sure it usually comes back fairly quick but this war on top of already high inflation and poor employment numbers is not sitting well with me and something is brewing. There's really nothing great propping up the market right now and I'm most likely going to move a large chunk of my money into money market accounts before the fall mid terms and maybe sooner. I'd rather play it safe for a while and see what happens with the war, election and economy than play catch up again. I know they (the financial guessers ) always say leave it and ride it out but I've done this several times and have got lucky most and timed it pretty good. It's bitten me a couple times too where nothing happened but it's easy enough to move the money back into the market. It just depends on your company and how many transactions in and out of the market per month they allow. Oil will be the key indicator because just about every recession has started with oil spiking and as of tonight it's already gone up a couple dollars since Friday.

An AI driven crash will be scary and fast. Crypto is another concern. Meanwhile my dealer has really reduced inventory since this started. All the higher end F150s and Rangers are selling like hotcakes. The XLs and XLTs seem to be sitting. $97k F150s with a $8k discount appears to be working and attracting bargain hunters. Kind of shows we have 2 distinct economies at this point.

I'm still upset about the AI driven RAM and SSD price hikes.

All the production is being gobbled up by AI data centers.

I bought a 4TB SSD back in June and it came with a free 32GB stick of DDR5 RAM.

Total cost was $189.

Today, that exact same SSD is $490 and the RAM is $400.

But honestly, I guess I am happy to pay that so that we can all be entertained by AI generated videos of cats flying airplanes and cooking pancakes.
