Don’t worry Clay but if you had bought some M&S rated tires, you could be doing this…

Just a little early morning drive in the snow.

:D
Them Goodyear Wrangler AT tires is M+S rated.

Let's hope that it has and it does just snow.
I haven't seen any updates yet from either Ryan or Max and nothing on the other forum I'm on either. Sometimes no new is good news but I'm guessing things are changing and they're looking at the models and making their videos now.

This is the only update map I could find. I like it! 🥃

Generators suck. They require hundreds of gallons of fuel for a long outage if you don't have natural gas we found and have to run constantly for small loads. A simple battery backup is much nicer. You only need a small generator for recharging. It runs full load for a short time then peace and quiet for hours. Many plug and play systems available now if you don't have massive loads that can be recharged at EV chargers if you don't want to deal with generators.
10 gallons per day to run my entire house, electric heat pumps, electric water heater, hardly 100's of gallons. I don't have the low idle for low loads though. I can live with that.
I will say a small generator to charge battery system is a better idea, if that battery system can run 15K house needs.

First 6 inches of lake snow cleaned up. They just dropped it to only 12 to 18 inches more Sunday. 10 below wind chill this morning 🥶.

I think Ed was assuming the power would/could be out for a week or more than you'd need a lot of fuel. If that happens then all the gas stations are down too and not many can store that amount of gas nor would I want to.

I bought a dual fuel Champion generator when we were in AR on sale at Tractor Supply for only $350.00 It was only a 4,375/3,500-Watt one but we had a zero clearance fireplace for heat so it was more than enough to run all the lights and most small appliances. My HVAC guy said he thought it might even be able to run the furnace if everything else was off. I had a hard start kit on it and it was a heat pump but luckily I never had to find out. lol

Hasen't hit the east coast yet....here in the Staunton area of Va. it's still sunny, temp hovering around 10 degrees. Snow expected around 6-8 pm, but depending on what weather and local stations you listen to, we could get 6 inches or 18 inches with some freezing rain.
Mother Nature just will not cooperate with the weather forecasters !!!!!

I love how Eds so casual when saying "They just dropped it to only 12 to 18 inches". lol Most city people would be freaking out right now hearing this news. :surprised:

I really never minded the snow and when younger skied, snowmobiled and played hockey it's the darn cold that gets me now. I used to love going out after a large snowstorm and driving around because the roads were empty. It was so quiet and peaceful walking in the woods where you'll never feel that solitude anywhere else.
