Trust me when I say this is a weird thread, but I wanted to share the weird detective work I did with these floor mats.

Ok, so I got my ranger this June of last year. The first thing I get with every car is all weather 3D molded floor mats. It came with the factory all weathers, but I wanted to upgrade.
I didn't research too deep, and I ordered the weather beaters. I got them on ebay for $90 sold by real truck store.

Almost right away they started slipping and sliding all over, would never lock down. I hated them. I missed my return window, and decided to try velcro, the velcro stuck to the carpet very very well. Just not the floor mat, due to a combination of the rubber being slick, and maybe some off gassing, and it was warm. It is a black truck so summer is hot. I was just living with it, until I got some extra christmas money to burn and I decided I would buy the best set I could find. I read a ton of reviews, and alot came back to the X-act Contour as the best ones to get. So I pulled the trigger for $70 Just to make sure the 54701 is the modelfor the X-act, and the box verifies, and they are stamped 54701 in the rubber.

They come in, and I open the box, and I go run to the truck and I take before and after photos, and they look so .... so .... the same?

I thought, hmm. They do look REALLY similar. But the logo are different, one says "huskey liners guaranteed for life" in a black badge and the other is a more grey badge and it says "Huskey liners"

So there is something different here. I went inside to take a look at their website.
Even the first step in this makes me feel like this is going to be REALLY close, and very little differences

So here is the Weatherbeaters according to their website, note they have a different mounting system, and a black logo like like the Xact mats.

Then I look up the Xact ones

1768017224191-an.webp

So it looks like mine is the Xact cut now, but what did I originally have? So weird. I looked back and forth a bunch, and realized there was also the diamond plate buy the gas pedal area. So I went back and look back at my photos, and my old ones did have that diamond plate.

These new ones so far seems good. They have not disconnected. But I am wondering if I originally didnt research, and bought the wrong bad ones, but some how was sent the good ones. But then mine didnt work. Its so weird. I wanted to share my insanity with someone. Thank you all ! lol

I have the cheaper Weatherbeater's, but have not had any issues with them sliding around. Here's the differences according to their site:

I have the Ford factory liners but they came with the truck and are good for my use. They anchor in place and have never moved and we don't have mud or snow here. If I were going to buy a set I'd have bought the Weather Tech. They do cost a little more but I'm a believer of buy once cry once.

Here's a pic someone here made up years ago of the 4 most common mats for the Ranger

you know, I was thinking the difference was the cut, like one was more molded then the other, I did not think about the material being the difference, that is interesting.

I went to RealTruck two days after I got my 2019 and ordered a complete set of Husky X-act Contour liners for front and rear. Perfect fit.
After six years they are in great shape. The only defect is the 'Husky' emblem came off the driver's side from my foot dragging. They've stayed put mainly due to the good fit which doesn't leave them any room to wander. Mine don't have openings for the mat hooks, but have domed recesses that fit over.
My experience with eBay when shopping for OEM proprietary p/ns is a much lower price usually means a knock-off part. ....normally listed as "for Volvo Penta" (example). If their part is an easy swap out, I may take the risk. If it takes any surgery to replace I move on.

I have the Husky liners in my truck but I have no idea which version.

They haven't budged in 6 years so I'm guessing they're the good ones.

Edit: Looked up my order and they're the Weatherbeaters.

I had to caulk the driver side Husky emblem back down but no other problems with the Husky's.

Yeah I generally like the MAX 3D cheap brand, they worked wonders in all my cars, with a ton of coverage, and just stiff enough they never moved.
I dont remember why I looked away from weathertech or smartliner
I do own the ford ones also.
What is weird is the husky in your shot is neither of the huskys that I own, that is why it is a little weird to me. Like what did I but originally.

i just got the husky x-act contours on thursday. initially they slid until i realized they actually clip into the pegs on the ranger's carpet. they made a popping noise as i fit them on and all has been well since. no more movement. so that was user error.

when i was reading up on things i saw that the x-act's just had a more flexible material in use. i'd seen some complaints on reddit about the weatherbeaters and the weathertechs curling over time. so i went with the x-act's.

ultimately, i think they're basically the same product. wouldn't surprise me if the only difference between your weatherbeaters and your x-acts are the material type.

I always used Weather Tech in the past, especially since their factory is about a half hour from me. However, something changed when we bought a set for my wife's old 2019 CX-5. They didn't fit nearly as well as the previous several sets I had, plus they became discolored and never looked the same pretty early on. That's why I switched to Husky and haven't been disappointed.
