First, I have searched multiple times to find this specific topic and cannot. So when/if one of you fine folks post a link all I can do is apologize. I tried.

Ok, here goes. 2023 Tremor. 47K miles. Owned since it had 3 miles or so. No issues, including the transmission. (Sorry to the other half of the forum that just groaned. But my trucks runs great.) Recently replaced the DPFE but no biggie. Truck has honestly been stellar.

However, 2 maybe 3 times in the past month or so I’d be running at highway speeds and for whatever reason would goose the throttle rather hard, and would get a very noticeable “thunk.” Doesn’t act like the trans as it seems to just downshift and be ready to go. And the truck does go. No problem. But what the hell is the thunk?!?!?! I mean it is noticeable. You can’t miss it. But it’s only done it a very few times. Last one occurred a couple of days ago which is when I started searching the forum.

And again, highway speeds. Not the start/stop thunk that has a gazillion threads. No issues when starting and stopping. Two days ago I was running about 74mph when I punched it and got the thunk.

Thanks in advance for the input!

Still might be the driveshaft spline needing to be re-lubed. Might also be the driveshaft carrier bearing assembly needing to be replaced.

Been wondering about the spline needing lube. Guess I’ll need to try that.

gonna wait for a warmer day!
