Got my Baja bar from Justin @twofive.engineering and this an amazing piece of work. The welds are...

Super happy. Now I need to get it either powder coated or cerakoted before install. :like:

Those are some really nice welds! I bought a Trac-Rac for my F150 years ago when they first came out. The welds looked similar to those and it held up great for the 20 years I used it on several different trucks weighted down with ladders. One of my friends bought a "newer version" Trac-Rac and the welds looked like someone in high school shop class who never welded before did it.

I found a picture of my '09 F150 with the racks on it. The welds are just as nice as the ones in Morgans pics. If you zoom in real close you can barely make out the welds at the base under the T and at the base of the rear rack. lol :inspect:

Me too, I had no use for an extended cab back then. It was the perfect work truck having a 6.5" bed I could fit all my equipment in the bed along with a 6' ladder.

Didn't Ford build a halfway between standard cab and extra cab for a few years?

Gotta go search now...

2004-2008 Regular cab had the small doors for access to the storage behind the seat.

I always thought it looked good and was a handy idea.

It apparently didn't jive with the general populace as it was discontinued in the 2009 refresh.

They did and I had a couple of them too. This was my '05 F150 with the access doors. It was great for storing things back and they only made it for a couple years.

Those were my favorite trucks! I started buying them back in '96 (was a '97 MY) when they changed the body style over from the square style. I used these for business and personal for over 20 years up until I moved to AZ in 2015. IIRC they stopped making the short bed in 2014 (my last one was a 2013) and I didn't need or want an extended cab and the Ranger wasn't out yet so I bought a 2015 2016 Tacoma. :puke:

We all make mistakes.
The important thing is to learn from them. 😉

I thought you bought a 2016?

The 2015 was the last of the good Tacomas.

The 2016 was the beginning of the dark ages.

Oops, you're right it was the dreaded 2016. I moved to AZ in late December 2015 and had ordered the Tacoma back in September 2015. Of course it didn't come in on time and I had to have it shipped out there. It was a problem from the start. 🤦‍♂️

After seeing this I started searching locally for a 2007 or 2008 just like your pic. That 4.6 v8 was super reliable if I remember correctly.

I never kept them long enough (traded them in every 3 years for the write off) but while I had them they were super reliable. We use to snowmobile up in northern Maine and Canada and they always pulled my trailers with ease and never left me stranded in that sub zero weather up there.

One trip one of our friends had to back out at the last minute so my other buddy had no one to pull his sled. I put it in the bed along with my 2 place trailer and hauled it up to Fort Kent Maine. lol
