Thats just wrong. The ASS delete was 50 credit and 500 credit for the LED delete.
The ASS delete came offered at time of order , the LED delete came with no option, just this is what you are getting, so a Lariat came with standard Halogen headlamps even though it was ordered with LEDs. Yet the cost to put it back to how it was supposed to be delivered was 2700 -500 (credit) = 2200 out of pocket and this was doing the labor intensive swap myself.
The sad part is, there's a lot truth in that statement. No hood struts or rear window defrost
Let's build 'em cheaper and sell them for more money
Thats pretty.Wound up getting that '23 I looked at this morning.
Still has rear window defroster, not sure when I'll use that here in AL
Now time to bolt on all my old stuff to the replacement truck.

Yes it does look good, hope you have a good run with it!The '23 looks good OP.
That's nice man. As my late Grandpa would have said about the rear window defroster, "it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. Just my two centsWound up getting that '23 I looked at this morning.

LED's are over rated anyway, a blown halogen headlight globe is $20 and 10 minutes of your time to fix, a blown LED headlight is usually an entire sealed assembly at $1000+ and having to remove and replace and re-align an entire headlight.
And I know that LED's are supposed to be more robust... but I've seen an awful lot of Gen6 Rangers running around here with one or the other "C" clamp running lights dead. I imagine that would require replacing the whole assembly and given that all local 6Gen would still be under warranty obviously Ford take their time replacing them, or have a shortage of stock.
Every 5G owner knows.. if one gets a 6G… the only acceptable 6G after 5G ownership.. is the Ranger Raptor.. as is written in the starsMan, I'll be that guy and tell you to at least drive a 6g.
I traded in my 5g on a 6g out of frustration with the 10r80 transmission (repaired under TSB (valve body + CDF) with 30k, and then needed full replacement 25k miles later) and as much as I hated spending more money, I love the 6g and I'm glad it worked out how it did. Feels better, handles better, shifts better, better MPG.
Regardless, if you stay with a 5g, do NOT buy one built before 8/15/22. Get far, far away from that 10r80.
Also, there was a stretch where the ASS was removed. My 5g was built in March of 22 and they were out of some chip, so they pushed through a bunch with it deleted and I think they took $500 off the sticker. I'm not sure how long that was, so that may or may not be the case for the 23.
