Hi Bret,

On surfaces like this, use hair spray and then stick it down. Works most times. At least for me. I keep a can in the garage as wife does not use the stuff.

After tons of research and some astronomical quotes by detailers on "real ceramic" I went the do it myself route and used the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray. It has the Sio2 polymers so I guess that's why it is considered ceramic. It went on well and after you put 2 coats on it should last 12 months. It is as glossy as some waxes I have used so hopefully it lasts as the reviews and the company say.
It looks great, nice and shiny. Did you follow the directions on the bottle or do anything differently?

Yes followed directions. Made sure the paint was over 50 degrees and waited 24 hours between coats. I also used it sparingly as described on the bottle.

One thing I didn't do was the glass with the exception of the back window and slider while that seemed to come out ok. I was hesitant using it on the rest because I have never used anything on glass in the past that I was happy with so I didn't think this would be any different.

I was very careful not to get any on the other glass and if I did I removed it promptly. I did find one spot on the glass and some elbow grease and clay bar removed it.

A few days late here but I joined the diy ceramic crowd with chemical guys hydroslick. First time detailing the truck. Just used a stripping wash, clay bar and some light polishing. Turned out great. Stuff really repels dust and pollen. Darker pic is the second day, did 2 coats

What backspace/offset did you go with? Any rubbing? I'm going to do the Icon stage 2 lift and need some wheels.
They’re -12mm offset. With the 285’s some trimming needs to be done, or you can get aftermarket intrusion bars from BDS.

Installed Off-road Alliance’s sway bar end links (made in China) and re-torqued everything down since installing the coil-overs. The links would look much better with some fresh paint...

I agree, that’s an awful colour!

Got my RokBlokz regular size installed today while waiting for paint to dry on wheels. Pics for those who are curious on fitment. The instructions were a bit unclear as they give you shitty black and white prints of dark jpegs, but, like 30 min-1hr to install. Don't really like the hardware, as its silver, and the black washers are HUGE. It looks tacked on for sure, but, a touch of the same black wheel paint I'm using on the wheels should help detract from that attention.

Up to 3/4 painted wheels but its turning cold tomorrow, going to have 1 silver wheel for a bit.
