I let my 2011 GMC go. It had a 6.2L. It is a rare truck I was told. It was made for one month. The month of December 2011. General Motors calls it the Nutcracker. 373 gears, with a 3 inch Magnaflow exhaust from factory. Positive traction.

Traded in my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek Premium w/Eyesight. Subaru makes an amazing AWD car that I loved, but, its very underpowered, and you don't even get above 30mpg most of the time unless you're really laying off the gas and just chilling with the semis in the right lane.

I needed a truck though, for three years I've been fooling myself by making due with the Crosstrek and a little trailer.

Have zero regrets about trading in for the Ranger.

Hope you enjoy your Ranger as much as I do.

Yeah, that is why I had the turbo Forester and the 3.6 in the wife's Outback...much better power.

I used to take my Forester everywhere.

I'm in agreement - Subies are fantastic AWD. My wife and I both had '16 Outbacks with the 2.5...very underpowered. She replaced her Outback with a '19 Legacy with the 2.5 and it's better (probably because it's lighter). I got the Ranger and...well, you know

I'll jump in as well, Subaru & Volvo have the best AWD systems I've ever driven. Had two Subies, first was with the regular Boxer engine...a black Legacy, the second was a 2008 Copper Legacy GT with the Turbo 2.5 she was fast/fun. Yet sold her to get that VW GLI loving feeling again...bought a VW GTI that time. The Subaru Turbo had all its power at higher RPM's and no low end torque. It's the same reason why we love the Ranger engine, and how that translates to driving experience. The Subaru was faster than the VW, yet off the line it was not. I got into Subaru's after wanting a XT model back in 1986!

I'm pretty much the same. Had a 2014 Crosstrek and it was a wonderful vehicle. The AWD system is amazing, but you're right about it being under-powered. When I drove super eco, I could eek out mid-30s for mpg with mine (had the manual trans), but driving regularly it would be in the upper 20s and less in the winter. It was perfect when I was single and lived alone in an apartment. But now I'm married with 3 dogs and a homeowner. So it just wasn't cutting it for our needs anymore. Definitely would still recommend Subaru as a brand in general.

2016 Focus S. Yes, that's a Focus S. As in bottom of the food chain, power windows in the front, crank in the back, no cruise control (added it with Focccus), and the most basic Bluetooth available. The Ranger is QUITE the upgrade!

That sure is an upgrade. It's one of those once you have it how'd I live without it thing. This is the first time I splurged for the top of the line trim level with all the bells and whistles. I like all the technology and sensors and stuff but now I don't know if I could ever go back to a mid level. lol

You really do have something against the passengers side don't you.

That's part of the reason I went with a Lariat - my Outback was a Limited with all the bells and whistles (except for the 3.6 and remote start). There was no way I was going to buy a Ranger with less stuff on it.
