They come in handy for lots of projects… my wife uses it to cut down on the time it takes her to move all the wall art and family pictures frames around the house.. it can pop a grid on the wall so she loves it for that.. my eyeballin hasn’t been good lately since my vision has been getting worse so I’ve even been using it for sheet rockin.. plenty of uses my Milwaukee one helped me center line for dropping tiles too… my opinion they are worth the pinch in the wallet to get a good one…. IF you’re gonna use it a remember to bring it ?That's actually a very good idea. It's a more, sophisticated and advanced approach than I had. Now I'll have to pony up the cash to buy one, ?
Surely I can use it on other projects around the home. Thanks for the prayers, shovelhd.
It looks great lowered.Hey everyone,
Been a while, but I finally did it.
I had bought the Belltech lowering kit 1044SP. Had a shop do the install.
I also bought a CVF high flow down pipe.
I wish I would've lowered it sooner.
Man, does this thing look mean, and it handles IMO better than stock. And the rear end is still slightly raised, so towing should not be an issue. It's also so much better and easier to get in and out of.
It really ties into the look of the build.
Heck, everyone that's seen or worked on the truck has asked if it's a real Saleen, so that's a big win in my book. Here's a picture after a recent cleanup.
On a side note, the CVF downpipe is amazing. Can't speak enough of the build quality, Jason or his company and service. I've put on about 1.5K miles and no issues.
However, it's too damn loud for me. Then again, I got the MRT side exit exhaust, so that doesn't help. Gotta drive with earplugs. Ill miss hearing the pops on decel, but it drones like crazy on nearly the entire RPM range, and if I step on it, goodbye ears. Lol.
Had it been a full exhaust, perhaps I wouldn't have had the issue, or not as bad.
PM me if you're interested in a second hand CVF downpipe.
If anyone wants it, I'll be putting the stock one soon and selling the CVF one.
There's also another new project I picked up.

Good point.Personally, I'd do everything I could do keep the aftermarket downpipe.. there's more gains there than anywhere else in the exhaust. Have a shop put in an additional/larger muffler to quiet it down. Performance being the goal of the build and all.. it'd be a shame to toss one of the single most meaningful mods towards said goal..
Thanks Vrapnyc!!Looks awesome blessing to you brother!
If you don't mind me asking, how low did you drop front & rear?
What size rims, tires & offset?
Spacers?
I have belltech 2/6 drop

Thanx for the fast response, yes I'm aware of the bore size!!!Thanks Vrapnyc!!
I dropped the Ranger with the Belltech 1044SP kit. I opted for the 2/4 drop.
The wheels are Chevy 'Honeycomb' Replicas.
Bought them from Factory Reproductions.
They're 22x9 with +31mm offset.
No spacers.
Only thing is that Chevy's have 78.1mm hub bore, so I had to take the wheels to a machine shop and gave them one of my OEM wheels, so they could open the hub bore to the 93.1mm that the Ranger has and get the perfect depth. The less material I take out the better.
Tires are 265/40/22.
All in all, I am very happy with the setup. Handles great, wheels and tire combo fit like Factory. No rubbing whatsoever.
The wheels are flush to the body. If anything, there's a very slight tuck.Thanx for the fast response, yes I'm aware of the bore size!!!
Also familiar with the chevy wheels..
They have em 106 Bore si I won't have to machine them but there on back order every where...
When you can can you take pics from the front & back so I can see the wheel stance, if it's not too much trouble..
Do your wheels fit flush? Or do they poke out some?
Debating if to go 20 or 22
Beautiful im sold! Thanx for taking time out for pics, really appreciate you..The wheels are flush to the body. If anything, there's a very slight tuck.
No poking whatsoever.
These wheels with the tire size I listed has the same diameter as the stock wheel/tire.
I'd personally recommend going with 22s.
The 20s are a bit small IMO.
On page 3 you can see my truck when I had the 20 inch wheels.
