I think if this the case I would search extensively for a still in stock somewhere TBC ford branded unit, there has to be some still available but will take a dedicated search to find it, may have to use Amazon or EBay etc.

I managed to find one on eBay and bought it. Pretty sure it's coming from Canada, well see if it actually shows up or not, said only 1 left.

Any room in that area to allow you to take the appropriate sized grommet, slice it in one spot, slip it over the wires and either install it or super glue it and install it?

I thought it was required of auto manufacturers to have replacement parts available for a number of years after a model was discontinued. The 5G has only been discontinued for a year!

Tell that to the people who owned a Saturn. I had one and the ten year rule was definitely out the window when GM stopped making them and they closed their dealerships.

Finding spare parts was definitely a junkyard scavenger hunt before I finally got rid of it.

Not sure which model your looking for but there are several popping up on Google search. The one above i typed in 2022 ranger.

Also Redarc.com has several but you'd have to know which are compatible. When I put mine in I also bought tge replacement fascia piece out of Australia.

That’s plan B. ? the entire engine harness from that side comes into the cab, so… it would be tough. I ran some wires through it and the slit I made was too big, now I can hear the turbo through it. High pitched whine and it drives me nuts. I’m going to get some sealant and try that first.

My bad, I was thinking you ran a new wire and trashed the grommet. What about this from harborfreight.com?

I had the LightForce switch panel when I cut the hole, which requires 14 wires to be run through the firewall (6 switch power, 6 switch grounds, panel power and ground). The hole was good for that, but I changed to the Garmin PowerSwitch which requires 0 wires run through the firewall...

That's the one I use and I'm happy with it. It doesn't have the AEB part but it's an easy install (except for the figgin' short Ford wires!

So Benny, you are saying that Ford has officially discontinued the trailer brake controller kit for the 5G Ranger! What are people without one suppose to do to get a controller that works with the AEB? Redarc does not make the Lumen module or the harness.
