I am thinking that the wiring to the transfer case position feedback is open, or the position feedback sensor is bad. This would cause your 4 wheel drive switch lights to not function.
That would make a lot of sense considering this is the wiring harness running to that connector:

Somebody smart decided to route it around the front driveshaft.

Where do you get all of this information from? I can never seem to find any technical manuals or anything?
From Helm that publishes the Ford shop manuals.

I would open up the wiring harness and closely inspect the wiring at that spot. It probably got damaged.

Since you do not have any switch power - Check Fuse #23 in the BJB, plus check to see if you have a working rear camera. I believe you need to look at the other side of this and that is the switch itself.

If the fuse is good and the Rear Cam is working

Plus, in the interim, have a helper cycle the switch (constantly) from 4-High to (2-High) while you shake, bend and twist the harness at the damaged spot - to see if either the switch indicator lights flicker, or it shifts out of 4-High

What year is yours? Looked at my 2022 and the harness for the T/case motor breaks out of a larger harness on the frame near the back of the T/case. Nowhere near the driveshaft and even if differently routed would not reach that area.

To wrap this post up: Dealer determined that the damaged harness had shorted against the front drive shaft, and blew the #66 fuse on the bottom of the fuse box. I checked this fuse but it did not appear blown, when I inspected the fuse when I picked the truck up it was nearly impossible to tell that it was blown.

Tips for others: The fuses on the bottom of the fuse box are difficult to access and diagnose, and it would be a good idea to swap in a good fuse to double check if it is blown or not.

Thank you everyone for your help!

I noticed this with my truck. The trailer light fuse was blown. I couldn't tell by looking at it either.

If you have a multimeter that has 'continuity test' mode it can be very helpful: pull the fuse out, stick one lead in each side of the fuse, and your meter should beep audibly if the fuse is good. Otherwise check for 0 ohms of resistance across the fuse.

Glad you're sorted, and glad it was a fairly easy fix.
