At 53,360 miles I finally ditched my Firestone XT's and went with the Falcon Wildpeak's. Size 265/70R17. I do have the Ford Tuned Fox lift on my truck. I really like the more aggressive look. My Firestone's were 255/75R17 and I prefer the wider 265 plus the Wildpeak's run a tad big.

I did the same not long ago with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T's. They look huge compared to OEM, yet they are just taller.

They look awesome. How are they with highway noise? I went with the Falken Rubitreks on mine. They were about $40 cheaper per tire. Not as aggressive as the Wildpeaks.

Highway noise isn't bad at all. I'm very pleasantly surprised.

Looks nice. What did you think of the X/Ts? I'm due for tires before winter and was looking at them in a 255/75.

The AT3Ws are just obscenely good. In the rain there’s no slip. I hope these AT4Ws are the same or better and they aren’t a case of a company creating a new model to cut corners with.
If Falken was like Ford with their relentless decontenting - then the AT4 would be a cost cutter, however Falken isn't like Ford and they added more "meat" (rubber) to the tire and the treadlife rating is increased by some 10k. I snapped up 4 AT3s a few weeks back on a closeout deal I couldn't pass on.

Link to a comparison of the AT3 vs AT4 - the AT4 is significantly heavier tire.

https://www.trailbuiltoffroad.com/b... much, advanced alternating outer tread design.

They were ok but never great. I'm not sure if it's the thinner width or what. The 255 size doesn't fill the wheel well as well either as I had the same 255/75R17

Can you elaborate just a little? If you have a window down, can you hear the lug noise? Do they vibrate as you come to a stop? Thanks!

Sure. They are no worse than my old Firestone XT tires even though the tread is a bit more aggressive. Zero vibration when stopping and the ride is very smooth. Can't comment on noise with the windows down as I seldom have my windows down but I'll check and let you know if I hear any lug noise.

Yeah At4W are amazing in the rain, I have to try to get the rear wheels to slip.

Also tires are pretty quiet, I don't hear them at all so far and I have about 5k miles on them.

Is everyone getting the LT or the standard tire Wildpeak? Any comment on how they do in the snow and ice?
