I just wanted something brighter at the boat launch without having to run wiring to light bars or anything like that. I spent maybe 5 minutes reading up on it before ordering so I can't really be that surprised.
I purchased some LED reverse bulbs to replace the stock ones. The installation videos I've seen are not for trucks with blind spot sensors. Before I started twisting on stuff I figured id ask before breaking something.
I've attached a pic of what I'm looking at when I remove the taillight...
The Motorcraft SP594s are $16.24/each through the Ford Pass website, plus I have to go out of my way to pick them up.
I'm coming up on 70k miles and decided to swap them out. This will be my first time changing plugs on a vehicle and I've driven 3 different cars over 300k miles
I'm not happy with the color I chose but damn, this thing is built well. Will make packing for long hunts a breeze. I used to have hell squeezing everything under my soft tonneau.
The instructions were a little confusing but I guess that's what happens when translating from Australian to...
That's what I always thought. The intake is far enough away to where the air ain't affected by the engine heat. I keep seeing people in the Ranger FB groups adding them and was wondering what they're about. I guess it's about as useful as the popoff valves people are putting. Just sounds cool.
I think I've been over 80 mph once in 65k miles. I'm usually cruising around 60 mph on most of my miles. I guess driving like a grandpa is what is doing it
Will it increase fuel efficiency? I have a 84 mile round trip commute so I put about 19k miles on mine per year just driving to work. Currently averaging about 26 mph since I'm doing 60 mph almost the entire drive.
They look awesome. How are they with highway noise? I went with the Falken Rubitreks on mine. They were about $40 cheaper per tire. Not as aggressive as the Wildpeaks.
I'll call them and see what they say. For the $20 the oil cost I'd just as soon do it myself. I live in a rural area so it's a PITA to get over there. Thanks
What does the friction modifier do? Makes the oil more viscous or something? I'm completely ignorant on this. You got me wondering if I should drain and refill it now. Do you have a link to what you're looking at so I can reference it when I call them? TIA
Back in May I posted about a harmonic sound I was hearing only when turning right. It was right after I 'd changed the brakes so I'd assumed I goofed up on the break job. I bent back the rotor shields and the sound didn't go away but it quit happening as often. Turns out the timing was just a...
I was skeptical about it but I recently found chunks of a bearing when changing my differential oil. My truck is at the dealership now getting the whole rear end replaced for the $100 deductible. I thought I was going to have to fight them on it but it went smoothly, no issues with them trying...
damn, I've been changing mine every 10k when the truck tells me to. 65k miles on it, 90% highway. I have to get it changed at a dealership to keep the lifetime powertrain warranty valid. I guess I might start changing it myself at 5k then bring to dealership at recommended interval.
