A couple of things to consider…..
  1. Will they let water get in the spark plug wells?
  2. Will they compromise the inner skin, which adds structure?

Uhh

1) Spark plugs need constant flushing with water.
2) Structure, pfft.

They would have to perfectly symmetrical, otherwise it'll look like total crap. You know, like those people who willy nilly drill holes in their trunk and bolt on a whale tail.

Placement looks good. Too often, folks place them too close to the front of the hood.
