Two incidents today, one totally my fault, the other a stray frisbee golf disc.
Negotiating a tight turn in a parking lot, I hear a nasty loud scrape noise. I swiped a concrete pole base. Luckily the running bar took the brunt of the damage, saving the rear door and fender. A little paint would suffice to make it right.

About an hour and a half later, as I was changing back from my hiking shoes, I hear a loud THUMP. WTF was that? I look over and see the damn frisbee golf disc. Then I discovered it hit the cab just behind the rear passenger door. FUCK! Do you think this is paintless dent repair candidate? I would hate to have to submit this for insurance, and deal without the Ranger for a week or more. The guilty party said they would make it right, but who knows if that will materialize. Or should I suck it up as a mere milage marker and live with it?

Ouch. I did something recently (see my post) backing up with a trailer and forgot I had the trailer. Doh! Paintless guy couldn't get it out so I need to have the rear qtr panel fixed and it breaks my heart to have it repainted.

It looks like a paintless guy can get that dent out.

I also ran my wheel into a brick curb and scratched it pretty good. I was going to get it repaired, but waited a few days and now I don't notice it.

By no means am I a paintless dent repair expert, but the fact it looks like it’s on a seam and that part of the body I would imagine is not easy to access from the inside, makes this an incident where I’d hold the party at fault to their word. Seems like it would be an expensive repair in any scenario.

?‍♂

That's what happened to me, too. I hope it will work, but maybe not.

That's what I'm afraid of. However, on a local PDR site, there was a before and after pic of a dent squarely on a seam.

Get 2 estimates. The first guy I contacted said $500, the second said $150. Of course, in the end it wasn't possible, but still.
Yep. If I could get it back to even less than perfect that would be good.

I'll be in Front Royal tomorrow. You can have the matching running boards off my Lariat
if you want to meet me.
Front Royal? There is a FR in VA, too. Someone else recently posted about removing running boards. Not sure where they are.

IMO, the running board is minor. But, if you can gat a replacement, all the better.
