I have a 2019 XLT that I would like to swap the driver's seat from a manual to power adjustable. I have sourced a seat from the same year but I wanted to see if anyone has done this successfully and what challenges there might be in making it happen.

Curious as to what you had to give for that seat $? I wouldn't mind a little power in my XLT , hopefully the harness is under the carpet and just waiting to be plugged in? Might require Forscan to turn things on though ?

I haven't purchased it yet. It didn't want to drop the coin until I was reasonably sure it would work. I found one for $191 plus freight.

That's a pretty good price methinks, did you look and see if any connectors we under there ? Some here have had the seats out , maybe somebody will chime in with an answer ?...

Look under the seat - the big 15-Pin connector under it and post how many wires are on that connector feeding (into) the seat connector.
For power seats to work, should have 10 wires with 5 open cavities.

This would be the first step - to show if the wiring is there to the seat.

I would think that you would be looking for a 16 conductor connector C327 (violet-red wire and a black-blue wire) for power to the seat control switch. All the other wiring should be already in the seat between the control switch and the 4 motors. See the diagram below:

Correction - IDK, diagrams for this are intermixed.
Grr: 15 Pin Connector:explode:

Anyway Yes (16-Pin) Connector - 10 Wires are (Used) 6 are open cavities

But to confirm - Do you have XLT - With or Without - Heated Seats?

Wires:
1 - Power (switch) wire
3- Heated Seats - Power, Signal Return and Sense (overheat protection) wires
2 - Airbag wires
2- Ground wires
2- Sensors (Track Position & Dr. Seat Buckle) wires

Confirmed (on-truck) that 10 wires are routed to the seat (power seats)

If you have all 10 wires, then you are good and only need to possibly enable some settings with Forscan.

Note if you want the heated seats to function - (if you do not have currently) then you will need to update the FCIM to the one with the heated seat buttons

Is that a genuine Ford Ranger power seat, or just a generic. If it's just generic/aftermarket, it will probably only need 12 VDC.

By the price, I knew where to look. I'm 1 state over from the seat and they want $320 shipping ?

LKQ right? I wonder if they would send to the local LKQ for a better price.

It is OEM. I wasn't able to locate anything aftermarket with power adjustments unfortunately. If you know of any please let me know in a reply.

Ok then it's just the matter of, how many wires do you have running to your seat?

If all 10, then it's just plug and play for the Seat Power (Adjustment)
If not all 10, then you can tap into the 30 Amp Power - Coming off the BJB and either re-pin the main connector to the seat (add it) or by-pass that connector and run direct to the seat switch.
and then run a ground to the frame.

Fairly simple swap, as long as you do not want to add heated seats (in the programming) plus more $$ to add the FCIM and it may not play nice if only doing (1) seat.

No Forscan changes - that I see for the Seat Track & Buckle - Sensors
Seat Power - Plug & Play (as long as wiring is present)
Airbag - appears plug and play - as your current seat has it already
Seat Heater - extra money and Forscan changes, plus may require both seats for it to work without errors.
