Yeah my bump stops bump very often when i tow or haul. So yeah, they are just fine, 41k and 20 months later they still work like new. All stock truck except my tailgate strut assist

2022 xlt fx2
Well Dave so you will not be disappointed after such a leading statement:

Cabose-1 I am interested in you experiences with the tailgate assist.

Has said pneumatic strut assist caused you any problems?
Any:
Decreased feelings of manliness?
Decreased upper body strength?
Loss of body hair?
Changes in your feelings towards your partner?
Fights recently where you have been beaten up by a ten year old?

Your friends at the pub now huddling together at a far table, and pointing whilst nodding, smirking?
Your dog now ignores you?
Your cat ignores you, and moved to the house next door? Or possibly even down the street?
You have forgotten how to use your socket set or which way a bolt tightens and loosens?
Problems with reading a map? (Delete if always using GPS now days - I've probably forgotten too!)
Any signs of ill feeling towards Dave who encouraged you to put this Limb of Satan on your truck?

These responses ( de-identified of course) will form part of a scientific paper I intend to write, entitled "The long Term Effects of Tailgate Lift Assistance on Testosterone Levels and Secondary Sexual Characteristics in Middle Age Males - a Progressive Study"

I now drink alone, small 6 oz beers because 12oz is too heavy. The ten year old girls where girl scouts, and they travel in packs so i was outnumbered, still cant fold a map, i have cats, and they now hiss at me, my socket set has dust on it now, the neighbor girl lifts the tailgate for me, i still tow heavy trailers, the tailgate strut assist gives me extra horses for towing, every time i go to the vfw they are closed, though i think i hear people inside. And dave........well, i dont detail my truck, so i dont need 303 different graphene products.

At least i can say i drive a ford f$%&#@! Ranger. So life is still good. It keeps my testosterone levels manageable.

WAIT....how can you "mold a hole" ??? A hole is a big nothingness, an absence of something, a negative of a positive....
Thats like "digging a hole"....it's impossible to "dig" a hole !!!

Aaannnnddd...back to bumpstops....did someone mention Toyota ????
You sound like that guy Nietzsche, my head hurts.

Absolutely right! It’s like the story of the old lady trying to cut the holes out of her sheet of fabric.

Toyota bumps top guy here. Posts magically get deleted. Second times a charm.

Bumpstops typically do not need frequent replacing.
Towing, a lot of guys have found success with stock bumpstops only. If you are looking for an upgrade. Sumosprings have been rated very well for towing.
If you are looking for off road performance, there are a few other options that will work wonders. These options are not recommended for towing.

However, if you are interested you can check out my past posts or look into gen 1 Raptor bumps.

That happens sometimes when people quote me. I get a notice someone quoted my post, click it and bam, get the Oops! We ran into some problems
Really, no need to delete the posts. I have thick skin. Goes along with the thick skull. :headbang:
