So I'm trying to get a set of tires for my 2021 Lartiat - soon - as the Hankook Dynapro AT-Ms are pretty worn at 35K.
So I start comparing specs with the Falken Wildpeaks which we are very happy with on our Bronco Sport.

Hankook Dynapro AT-M
Stock: 265 60 18
35lbs.

Falken Wildpeak A/T3W
Desired size: 265 70 18
56lbs.

Well a littlle more research and the 265 75 16's I was running on my 22 Ranger were 56 pounds.
And that was on Steel wheels. Ran those for a year with no issues. So looks like the
Wildpeak A/T3W's will be fine. Same weight on an aluminum wheel.

We do not have much to go off of but I just went down the AT rabbit hole. I have 285/70/17 k02 and really really liked them. Just ordered K03 though, was split on a few others but that is what I went for. The k02 have been so good but wished for better wet road performance, the k03 should deliver.

I have the Wildpeak 4 in 255/70/18. Falken shows them at 44 lbs.

Thx Bob902 I should have gone directly to the Falken website.

Well after more reseach on the "Falken website" the A/T3W is available in 2 different options.
A max load at 3524 lbs. (124) is 59.5 lbs.
A max load of 2765 lbs. (116T) is 46.7 lbs.

Since I carry camping equipment, tools, lumber, and Kayaks (not at the same time) and rarely tow a trailer - I think I'll be fine with the lighter tire of 46.7 lbs.

So tires I want will be quite a bit lighter than the 56 lbs (on steel wheels) I was running on my other Ranger.

I had these on my ranger for 22K miles an they looked great when I traded it in. Rode well an were pretty quiet for how aggressive they looked. I chose them for the ride/quiet an they were only like 6 pounds heavier than the stock tires. I didn't notice a change is acceleration or braking but I had a tune in the truck. FYI I put 35" stock take offs on my bronco. Wheel weight went from around 55 pounds a tire/wheel to 88 pounds an I don't notice a whole lot of drag an only lost 1 mpg overall.

Dang!
33lbs per wheel seems like a lot.

I've had my eye on these for when the OEM Hankooks wear out.

I really like the Cooper AT3's which I have had for a year now and I believe they are lighter than the Falkens or Nittos?
Good to know. I'm going to have to replace mine soon, and my mechanic is recommending the Coopers.

I plan on just adding more air to off set the extra weight when I get my new tires...pretty sure it works that way, science I think ?, I'll check that it's science...

I've ruled out the Falkens for my next tires due to the weight alone, especially since I can't justify going to an LT tire. The Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT's are some of the lightest for their size, i'll be going 285/70/17 in the standard load and if i recall those weigh in at just 48 lbs, or about the same weight as my standard load duratracs in 265/70/17...
