2020 Ranger XLT - on start, the ford nav system automatically enters a route to “Home” and starts navigation even though I’m in my own driveway. Looked through some other threads to solve but I have found very little in the nav preferences to stop this problem.

I have deleted the home address, and the history. No success.

Any ideas?

I think in the upper right corner of the screen, click on the -X- , then cancel route.
I don’t use the nav much, but something similar- Cancel the Route

Yes that does cancel it. But route inputs again automatically when the truck is restarted.

What build Sync3 are you on? If less than build 23188 then you need to update via USB. Do not rely on a wifi connection to find the update.

What happens if you save a different home address?

Ok, try a Sync Reboot, Hold (>>>>) while pressing the Power Button.
Hold for 3-4 Seconds. System will Reset/Reboot.
No settings will be lost, it is like a PC reboot, power cycle
If that does not work - Check for current Sync Vs - If below 23188, then update via USB

I had the same problem with a couple more to boot. Dealer had to replace the APIM module under warranty as mine is a 23.

Tried the sync reboot. That didn’t fix it. The nav build is 22251 so next step is an update. Starting to think it is the APIM module.

I would try a Sync hardware reset, found in the menus.

Your issue is build 22251. That build has numerous well documented issues that only will get worse over time. I think you’ll be good after updating…
