2020 Ranger Lariat - what is this piece from the glove box area?

While opening glove box to check the cabin filter, I felt something snap near the glove box hinge and this piece fell out. It's a little more than a foot long, clear plastic with notches in it. Getting eyes under the dash, it looks to be some kind of LED light piece. It's hard to get a photo there, but I did my best. It goes back into place but the light doesn't travel down it like I bet it did before. But what is it? Is this an after-market ambient light thing? I don't recall ever seeing blue light on the passenger side before? I've tried to look at various repair manuals, but I can't find reference to it. Then again, I don't know what to call it so I may be looking up the wrong thing.

That is the interior ambient lighting. Did you install it in the same orientation?
I can get a picture of mine later today. Mine are pretty dim. I hardly notice when the lights are on.

Lariats have that from factory:
Both Footwells, Front Cubby, Front Door Handles and some include the Front Door Pockets, they removed that at some point in production (MY 22 does not have it - Door Pockets) or at least they do not work. The Ambient lighting does nothing anyway as it is dim and provides no usable light source, except the Front Cubby.

You can actually adjust the light color and intensity from the Sync Screen. In case you did not know.
