Not a powder burner, but still a lot of fun! It's a Skout Epoch competition benchrest air rifle in 0.177. I have the LPVO on it as a place holder for a high end scope I am still saving up for.

No I checked, mine are authentic with round red dots. With chinese knockoffs typically the dot is an oval or "almond" shape.
Nope.

All chinese.

I read it on the internet once.

Plus, @Colo_Ranger would never lie to me.

I did a lot of research and found the Swampfox Sentinel II. Its from Colorado (ok, the company is in Colorado) and it has rear sites on the unit itself, in case your OE sites had to be milled off. Pretty slick. It gets really good reviews.

I wouldn't be so quick to trust those Colorado people. Smoke too much reefer up there.
I know you're just talking crap, but I might be the only Coloradan that has never smoked weed. Like, never ever. For real. Which also means that, for a random stranger on the internet, you can trust me.

As a local, I'm the second.

Sage Dynamics on YT does a lot of pistol RDS videos which was a big part of convincing me to jump in. I'd recommend them for a anyone new to pistol RDS. He even does a video with tape over the window to simulate a broken/occluded sight and the results will surprise you. That, the durability of the RMRs and stats that say most self defense shootings are 7 yards I decided to just mill off the rear sight to have a bigger window.

in fight or at night front sight... rear sight is only good for when you got the luxury of time to use it without getting your dick shot off...

I don't usually chime in on these firearm topics.....but on this I will...
Having been a deputy sheriff for 26 years, and being involved in some situations, I can honestly look back and say I don't ever remember using the front/rear sight when my handgun was used.
Situations happened so fast that it's basically just point and shoot...don't even remember bringing the weapon up to sighting.
Sights are great....if you have the time to use them, but that extra time used to bring them up to use may be the extra time the bad guy needs to pop one off at you...

Ive been blessed not to need to use any of that skill or info that was handed down to me. But I bet I would feel the same. All goes so fast you cant even recall what took place other than the main action or action vs reaction. The other day I saw a bad car crash. Went back saw it in person, talked to survivors etc. I bet I cant remember any unique details. Its amazing what our brains can do and we dont even know it.

Mountain Goats info about removing the rear sight made me think of that. I think I read some place that old west gun fighters would file down the sights on the guns to get more speed and faster point and shoot ability i guess. idk if that is true. Im old just not that old lol.
