oh man! great work with no ironie! in germania this would result an immediate complete decommissioning of the car... no drilling or welding on the frame except by the manufacturer or certified coachbuilders…??

I’m a little late to the party but I am rocking the White Knuckle Sliders with the complete top plate. Makes a good step, especially with the kicked out area on the rear, and are absolutely solid. Have yet to try them out, but I do not believe these will have any problems taking a hit.

Not late at all! Happy to hear it. If and when I do get rock sliders I will most likely be getting these!

One thing to think of, if they bolt to the frame instead of weld on, it will be easier to remove them to touch up after scraping them over the rocks.

use a piece of cardboard to block the overspray and it’s easy enough.

Here's some pictures of my White Knuckle sliders. I have to confess that I will likely not need them for the degree of offroading that I do - mainly fireroad stuff - but IMO they clean up the look of the truck and are easier to step over when I get into the truck. Now I just have to find a home for the old running boards.

I too have the Rocky Road Sliders with the kick outs and they are awesome. Bolted on. I had my ace mechanic do the drilling and work. He did a super awesome job.
