Sorry to hear that you have to wait. The wait is miserable. The only reason mine was finished so fast is because my son’s friend is a mechanic there. I was able to ride with him and the driveline tech who identified the issue a couple weeks ago. He ordered the parts and called me to bring it in. I hope yours is resolved soon.
They finally got the part over the weekend. Just waiting for them to work on it

@Jmarler I’d be curious to learn more about what they replace when it happens. One dealership told me I needed a new carrier bearing, the other said it’s fine. I also have a droning noise at about 60-70 that increases when I let off the gas, sounds like it’s coming from the rear.

Yeah I'll post documentation when they complete it. Waiting to hear on when they'll get to it

For those that have this issue at what mileage did this occur?

I’m at 31,000 now. I would say I noticed it at about 20,000.

Hmm that's interesting what made me ask was last week while highway driving and in decelerating situations (no brake) i noticed the same sound that i never heard before.
I also just swapped out the stock muffler for a Magnaflow unless it's some sort of a exhaust reversion sound IDK, I'll have to monitor, i'm approaching 20,000 miles.

The sound on mine was most prominent at 72 mph, letting off the gas. It was harmonic sounding. I could hear it at other speeds too, but not as significant.

You were not covered under the warranty with this repair?

Sigh. So there is aburning smell coming from the rear. I look at the tire wells and I see differential fluid leaking from the right rear. So now I have to take it back and have them fix it. They said I would fall under priority but will still take a couple days. We'll see

Has anyone actually gotten this fixed? I had the rear end completely rebuilt and new rear axels, noise still there. Was told it’s the drive shaft so they replaced that and it’s still there. I’m at my wits end now

The noise went away with the differential carrier swap but the oil leaking is new. I read that those seals may break easy after resealing it.
