Hi just wondering if anyone experienced this before. I have a 2021 for ranger wildtrak 2.0L bi turbo 10 speed gearbox.
occasionally when I lift my foot off the throttle or right before a gear change uphill

when the engine in under load it makes a rattling noise. I have attached a video you can hear a brief rattle each time I lift my foot off the throttle.

Open the hood and watch the engine - when you do that
Except Hold your foot on the brake instead of letting it roll forward.

Is the engine rocking excessively - rising up out of the engine bay- motor mounts?

That was my thought as well.. also I’ve heard a lot of diesels hav that grunted rattle.. now idk but could it also be the sound that happens when it goes all the fuel to minimum fuel and it’s the sound of the cylinder slapping with out fuel… sorry I can’t think of how to explain it properly at the moment…
Otherwise I’d say motor mounts like airline tech said
