The OEM amber side markers had to go - I opted for the Morimoto XB LED Side Markers as the replacement. It was an easy install and I love the smoked housing against the white paint. At night, the 2 amber LED strips are bright and give the truck a unique look.

Funny, I was going back and forth between the smoked LED side marker lights and the clear ones. I went with clear for the contrast because I have the sport package with the magnetic wheel flares. Now with my new LED headlamps, which has a built in side marker of its own, I may switch out these clear LEDs for the smoked ones like yours after all.

Ya, I would need to get Lariat mirror caps (or mirrors all together), paint match, and figure out the wiring. I am not totally comfortable with wiring either. The juice may not be worth the squeeze at the end of the day...
it's not ?

Hey Thom, that looks pretty good. How about a video of the 3rd brake light in action? Maybe even day and night videos? And a link to the specific one you got?
I will try. If I can get someone to help, I'll take a video. Pretty hard to do it alone.

I may be biased but smoked side markers are the way to go!

The most recent add to the Ranger is the Bullet Proof Diesel Third Brake Light Dual Antenna Mount with @Baja Designs Amber LEDs. I am a novice GMRS user and wanted a more permanent mounting solution. Mainly I hit the local repeater and use the radio (Midland MXT275) when off roading with a group. I previously had a magnetic mount from Midland Radio which worked great but I had some wind noise from running it through the door seal.

Maybe I over complicated the wiring on this thing but it was a PITA. For context, I ran the 2 coax cable in the headliner, down through the driver side C Pillar and underneath my WeatherTech mats to the drivers seat. For the power to the BD LEDs, I ran them through the same way except continued the wire under the door jam covers (driver side front and back), through the rubber grommet (same one as previous noted in this thread), then all the way to the switch box in the engine bay.

I did not pay full price on this mount - I found a deal on eBay for a few hundred off so check there if you're interested.

@WxNerd2015 has great details on installing the mount: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/wxnerd2015s-hot-pepper-red-fx4.2217/post-131345

Welcome Brandon. You can find an aweful lot of things on this forum that you never knew you needed, Ha Ha. Keep it up, it looks good so far. Here is some more:

IMG_1504.jpg
Questions or ya:

1. I want the rtr grille but not the running lights because I have the morimoto headlights. Does it look weird without the running lights installed on the grille?

2. How are the running lights holding up? I had the rtr grille and lights on my 18 mustang and they looked so damn good but kept getting water in the lights that would kill the chips. Replaced em 3 times before I ended up switching to a different grille and lights because of how bad it looked when they went out partially.

I have had the RTR grill W/Lights for almost 4 years now. I have not had any water get into the lights. They work well and look just like they did when I installed them. It seems like you got a bad run of lights and I hope RTR has cured the issue. The grill is available without lights also. Order thru RTR direct.

Good to hear you didn't have any issues! Last I checked their website I don't think I saw an option without the lights but I'll take another look or reach out to em. Thanks for the info!

Replaced the Rough Country pods with Diode Dynamics SS3 Sport pods and could not be happier! I went with the orange backlight and clear lens with the combo pattern. I attempted to show a comparison between the RC and DD pods but the pictures did not do the light output justice. I would recommended looking up others photos/videos to compare for yourself.

HUGE shoutout to Frank @Stage3Motorsports for answering my questions and helping me decide which DD pods would fit my needs.

I picked up a set of used RokBlokz XL mud flaps from a Facebook Ford Ranger group in great condition. I wanted to protect my paint but keep the paint matched wheel well trim so this was my solution. This is my daily driver so I was more worried about rocks from the road being thrown against the side of the truck than the flaps impeding on off-road capability. Install was easy and so far, they seem to do a good job keeping rocks down. They are a perfect size with my tire size and offset.
