Need a few more quarts of ULV to be ready for the 5k maintenance interval. Being a new truck I'm going to swap all the fluids. Front and rear diff, transfer case, trans oil (going to do a PPE pan and filter at same time) and the engine oil.

Haven't settled on engine oil yet but being a turbo engine, and one I'd like to last, probably just gonna switch to full synthetic at the first oil change so I won't be sticking with the Motorcraft blended stuff.

Maybe Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w30, we'll see. Going to do more researching to see what synthetic stuff holds up best.

the ulv is hard to find and cost way more than old school transmission fluid does. first time i bought any i had to go two cites over and was shocked at the cost.
i run mobil 1 full synthetic oil in my 5g and the engine seems happy.

I ended up going with Amsoil for my cars after watching project farm's review of oils, especially the section focusing on the cold temp performance. Ran it in my tuned Focus ST for about 100k with no issues, and my ranger has run it since new (at 46k now) and have been very pleased with it.

Yeah he does a fantastic job, and I like how he uses simple tests that are actually representative of how the products he tests actually gets used.

I have run Amsoil and their filters in everything I have owned for the last 23 years, 100’s of thousands of miles never an issue, that said there are other quality oils out there.
I just find it nice to only have to change the oil once a year or at 15k miles whichever comes first (many of their filters are rated for 15k miles, some engines that have a 25k rating).

I was just watching that. I'm leaning towards the Pennzoil because even though the Amsoil won it wasn't by much, and the Pennzoil is like half the cost for a 5qt jug.

Haven't received it yet in the mail.........but, the blower motor on my '22 XLT has been making some grumbling sounds......unplugged it and removed the 3 screws and made sure nothing in the cage. Nope.....clean! Called the dealer.......can't look at the XLT for 3 weeks and if the blower motor needs replaced they can't order one as theyre not available. Went online.....found a NIB Motorcraft in Texas.............Dealership quoted me $179..............got this one for $53 and free ship. Works for me!

I was close to hitting the Buy on my Amazon order for the left and right Swing Cases and I thought maybe I should check the ford accessories website. Was shocked that the Swing Case Amazon price was $239.99 and the Ford Accessories price was $229.00. I'm a prime member so shipping would have been free but the Ford price for shipping was $18.00. So all in, the price was almost identical. I had 41,000 ford points from when I bought my truck and with those I got both boxes to my door for $280. Will be too cold for me to install this weekend. Next weekend looks alot warmer. My ranger projects are getting backed up. Redarc brake controller, grill lights, and now these tool boxes.

Right now I have 3 bags with stuff in them stuck in the backseat. One bag for ratchet and bungie straps. A recovery bag that has bubba rope and soft shackels and another bag that has a portable NOCO jump pack and jumper cables. Will be glad to get them into the tool boxes. Need to add a few things like fire extinguisher, first aid kit, foldable shovel, tools, etc. I guess I'll have to see how much room i have left and prioritize.
