Received CoverKing Sueded Dash Cover. I’ve had bad glare issues and looking to solve it. The cover Is definitely not what I expected. I am very underwhelmed. I’ll let it sit overnight in the truck and see how it goes. Not impressed At all. My first and last Cover King product.

Bummer.

Reflections can be eliminated with proper selection of color AND material. My parts dept has a large selection of Dash Designs samples. Took them out and selected one that pretty much eliminated any reflection. Bonus, a proper cover reduces the dash temp and keeps it from radiating while A/C is trying to cool the cabin.

We have Dash Designs covers in Black Velour in our Ranger and Santa Fe.

I've been wanting a good dash cover because of the hot FL sun. Where is the best place to get one? Amazon keeps feeding me sketchy alternatives. Thank you!
John,
I live in a high desert area and need good protection too for the heat. I have seen cracked dashes here on vehicles when people didn't have any protection on them. I got mine through my Dealer with Ford Pass rewards. You can try the company: https://www.dashdesigns.com/. Also googling Dash Designs covers will bring up https://www.carid.com/dash-designs/ and other reputable sellers where you might find the best deal. These are quality covers and you will need one with a cutout for a Pre-collision indicator if you have that feature on your Ranger. Let us know what you end up with! :)

Thanks for the links and the mention of the HUD collision lights (which my XL has).

In the high desert, you probably need defrosters in winter and how does this cover work with them?

Here in New England, it's a must. Hell, I just pulled out of my driveway to turn Soupie around and had to defrost for a few minutes! =(

And I've always thought that apart from glare, it could help a tiny bit with road noise - both to dampen and then also absorb it in the cab (like making a recording studio "dead" with padding, etc.).

And, for me, I think it would be easier to keep the dash clean from the tremendous God-awful pine pollen here to Cheech's hair everywhere! Just take it out and shake and vac.

Last question, is it just a friction fit?

Update: watched the video about the velcro, looks easy. =)

David,
Good points!
1. The cover has slots for the defroster which I do need in the winter time.
2. Didn't notice any difference in the road noise. My cover is black to match the ebony interior and no glare at all. A lighter colored cover may not reduce all the glare...not sure about that?
3. I haven't needed to clean mine yet but probably will use a hand vac. then.
4. Attached mine with the velcro strips following the video on their site and its a snug fit...didn't want it sliding around.
5. It insulates the dash from the desert heat.

Hope you have some great dump runs coming up... :like::like::like:

Sorry yours didn't work out for you. This one fits the contour of the dash and cutouts perfectly and the texture is really nice. The seams are clean and look good...really happy with this cover :)

Says battery is good but I still don't fully trust my truck anymore.

I waited several months for Desert Does It to have a sale…FALLRIDE15 + Free Shipping and I finally got my Seat Jackers. What seems like such an expensive and insignificant block of metal was such a game changer in the Bronco. The slight extra lift in the front provides leg support and plants your ass in the seat.

I have them - ordered about a year ago - have not installed them yet I sort of got used to it but still have comfort issues, I may just throw them in to see if a major difference.

Is the seat jacker kit for both seats or just one?
