freezing up and other fun things

Any one else suffering problems when on 5G?
I've been getting a lot of freeze ups lately, on here and here only. losing my cursor, unable to type.
Today my screen froze completely while trying to make a post after several lost cursor incidents, the screen was greying out, jumping up and down as if it was trying to load an ad or something above and then my cooling fan went to high and my CPU was running at 85%.
And this was the only tab open at the time.
Had to shut it down to end the madness.
I've ran my antivirus and nothing comes up.

I haven't had any problems on the site and I open like 5 tabs at a time. Maybe the CSE and Bill C-59 are slowing things up a bit? Or maybe the new assisted suicide ads aren't loading properly.

No problems with this site, I have had freezups on other sites and my laptop getting warm with the fan redlining. I would try deleting/un-bookmarking the website, reopening it and re-sign in. If the problem still persists, restart your computer. If it still persists, try using a different browser.

I experienced a minor delay as you did, yesterday. Couldn't type in a response for about 10 seconds.
My guess, ads loading.

again it happened, i browsed through page 1 of all the new posts, got to page two, was about to click back into here and it all froze up again.
I think i might try clearing cookies next I guess.

I have noticed a lot more ads lately. I had a nice time there for awhile with none.

I have not experienced any freeze ups or any other problems on this site using my desktop and Firefox.

I've never seen an ad here. ?

I never have seen ads either here using Firefox on my desktop but if I use my cell phone i do see ads.

I've used Firefox before, but never really got hooked on it.
Work uses Chrome and I've just been accustomed to it over the years.

Incidentally, as soon as the ad rolled into the lower right corner as I started to write this post, it froze, so I clearly think its related to the ad's at this point.

Well, came to make a quick reply, but had to wait about 7 seconds before I could start typing.
I was going to say that I see the same delays when accessing my e-mail. I can't see any new mail in the inbox until all the side ads load in. And when you have a measly 3Mb/s DSL, that could be 20 to 30 seconds.

That is why I use add blocker on Firefox. I have experienced no delays or freeze-ups.

Ditto. Though I'm still trying to finally break myself free from Chrome.

AdBlock & uBlock still do a decent job. Though I see YouTube now is pitching a fit...
