Any traditions out there?

Mine: a 6 mile walk. Before my knees gave up on me it was a ruck march.. now it is just a walk thru the woods without music or other fun stuff. Then have a drink for those that didn't make it home or fell after they came home.

Speaking of knees; I still need to get my DV plates... When I finally out process I'll be just shy of 23 years and medically retired.

Hi Folks,

Today is a day of reflection for me. We were in Germany, my father was commander of a Missile base in Germany. My father was chosen to drive to Belgium to place a wreath on the headstone of the memorial to USA fallen heroes in a USA cemetary. Rows up on rows of head stones, not unlike Arlington. It was an unforgettable moment. I always shed a tear or two (or more) to remember these fallen heroes. Freedom is so precious...

The ironic thing is all these headstones and those of Arlington come from the Santa Rita Mountain quarry which we see from the North from our patio in Green Valley.

best,
Phil
