What mode???

so over here in the uk we mostly drive manual gear boxes and I have towed plenty of heavy trailers using a manual gearbox.
the issue is that this is my first auto box and I'm going to be towing 2 tonne regularly, what is he best mode to do this in???

Should have a tow/Haul mode? Not sure with the diesel engine, only get gas engine here in 'merica.

Our resident, recently fully-licensed, towing afficIonada, @Kristina , has experience towing with her previous truck, a diesel Euro Ranger Wildtrak.

She’s all fancy now with her Code Orange Ranger Raptor but can likely provide some guidance on towing with your Stormtrak.

this sounds like a question for the lovely Kristina... as likely one of the few here that has experience with the non usa model. and she tows stuff

I take it you've never read the owner's manual? I would definitely check there. Also chances are all you need to do is keep it in auto and press the toe button. Do that and you will be fine

I found your owners manual online.
read about towing and found it to be very basic knowledge. No mention of a tow/haul mode that I saw.
but dayum, there's a lot of neat stuff available on your trucks we don't have over here judging by the manuals contents.

So 19-23 only has three modes; normal, sport, and tow.

Seems pressing the tow button while towing may be the answer, but I dunno... tough one

Unfortunately the OP is from a different country and there might be slight differences. Can't say for sure though

the trans has a “tow” mode, and you’re seriously asking what mode to use when towing?
Try tow mode.

So, can all those who told to choose tow haul mode or were sarcastic to new member, help me to find it? Probably I don’t need to look it up from OM?

@rangerrichie You probably don’t have trailer button anywhere? That means no tow haul mode Don’t worry, it’s a diesel engine truck, you can use sport mode and that’s all. 2000 kg trailer is far from this truck’s actual towing limit
In case if it’s brand new truck I wouldn’t start with sport mode and trailer towing right away.

There is no tow mode. Connect the trailer and wires and go. The truck recognizes the trailer but no special mode selection needed. Diesel engines aren’t so sensitive as petrol so no worries so there is enough power.

Edit: I am probably one of those bookworms when it comes to 5G OM.
