I now have this scab Ranger XLT Sport 4X4 for 3 yrs & 10 days, yesterday I received a survey from Ford about the Ranger.

I stated I was not a happy FORD owner & explained how I felt the truck was not complete as the 1st thing that was noticed was the gap around the key mechanism. then how I need to stop looking at the road to adjust the a/c & or heat controls. also the fuel in oil experience plus the pathetic excuse for the transmission dipstick/ fill tube. the unexpected black screen that has occurred a half a dozen times, radio station change for no reason, soft brake pedal & the lousy tires that only lasted 25000 miles.
it just happened that a week after 3 yrs of ownership, while washing the truck I saw the roof trim is flaking paint chips so that was added to the list of complaints. also mentioned that stupid engine noise piped in was annoying & the A S S was a waste of time. could not get SYNC to update &
cannot get FORD PASS to work for me !!!!!!!

in the plus column I stated the truck was very comfortable to ride in.......that was all in that column L O L.

I forgot to mention the 2 piece lug nut fiasco :frown:

a box popped up asking for my name & number as FORD may want to contact me, no I`m not expecting to hear anything from FORD.

did anyone else get the survey on the 3 yr mark ?

I received a survey on the one and also two year anniversary of ownership asking the same basic questions.
Both times I answered that I was very satisfied with my 2021, and had not had any problems at all with it.
Other than the rear headrest recall have not had any problems. Use it as a daily driver for a retired ole fart, and to tow our travel trailer, which it does a great job doing.
Dipstick is not only Ford, but many manufacturers are doing the same thing. And, there is a fix in the works from one of our members.
Sorry for your troubles with yours.

My 3 year Ranger anniversary is next month and I nave never gotten a survey so far. I would not expect one from the lame dealer I bought my truck from either. They never have even contacted me not even once since I purchased my Ranger. Not a thanks for purchasing from them, nothing. Don't buy from Damerow Ford. I have no chips or paint peeling so far ?.

My 3 year anniversary is next month and I have never received one before. There are definitely things I wish were different on the Ranger. But all in all I’m satisfied and recommend it to others. 55,000 miles and no issues so far.

Got my first ranger January 2021. It was a 2020. Just had a rangerversary for my 2022. 61k miles total. No survey yet. Awesome truck, bed is too small, but it does what the other ealry 2000 model f150s do at my uncles place. More really. Just hard to keep clean rear lockers are a godsend. 4x4 takes too much cargo capacity away and it lives off road for a lot of its time anyway. I am happy with it. Thats what id say. Tows awesome!

Yeah ford don't care what you have to say. They just want you to think they do.

No surveys for me yet. I'm 2.5 years in on my 2020, purchased new in March 2021. I've got just over 15k miles now and not had any major issues. 2 recalls, nether effect me so I haven't taken it in yet. When I take it in for the rear headrests, I'm removing my folding ones, in case they want to replace them with non folding units... not sure what the recall is about, but I want my folding headrests.

My transmission does like to stick in 7th when it should shift into 4 or 5. I just bounce the throttle and it shifts. I live with it, but maybe it's a sign of things to come?

I don't pay much attention to the fuel in oil things. I don't smell anything when I check it, but it does seem to be over the upper fill mark.

Any other complaints I have are cosmetic. No bumper step. Missing tie downs. Auto folding mirrors. Others that I forget now.

The recall on the rear Scab headrests are to replace the non-folding with the folding rests. My 2021 came with the non-folding and were replaced under the recall. If yours came with folding, it won't affect you.
I believe the second part of your recall is about how the front seatbelts were attached...a small number weren't attached correctly at it's attachment point at the rear door.

Ah, thanks for that info. My headrests fold, AFTER I did the hack (add a piece of dowel). I didn't go all the way to add the button, I just have to slide my finger along the outside of the rest until I feel the dowel. If I get the official folding ones, then OK, I'll accept that :)

My seatbelt is correct, I checked it.

Yeah, you'll get a new pair of factory folders in whatever interior color/material you have. They will just verify vin and that their non-folders and order a new set...when they come in they'll call you and do a swap in 10 minutes...
Recall had to do with the non-folders giving hard access to child seat attachment points.

I just got my survey too. Haven't filled it out yet but It will be just like my last one. LOVE the truck with zero problems. My only complaints are: no split folding rear seat (which I obviously knew about when I bought it) and with size 14 shoes, my toe catches the heater duct under the dash when applying the brakes. 4 years later I still haven't bothered to crawl under the dash to trim it back a little so I guess even that isn't a real big deal. At this point in my life, I don't sweat the minor things in life. Cancer, mortgage payments and things like that are what matter to me.
