today on the 5th anniversary of ownership of this Ranger, I received a survey from FORD asking if I would recommend FORD to others. I took a neutral stance as I am not happy with some items on this truck. as noted on this forum, there is the roof trim, door seal, 2 piece lug nuts, sync & some other minor issues .
I think there was a survey at 3 years also.
anyone else get these surveys from FORD ?

Yes, I just got one, as I am 4 days away from 3 years of ownership, I usually never fill out surveys but I may do this one (IDK)

I don't recall getting a survey but I got mine as a Certified Pre Owned at a Ford dealer with only 5000 miles on it.
I'm knocking on wood right now, I don't want to jinx myself, and people here are going to hate me for this, but the Ranger will hit 100,000 miles within a week and has surpassed my 1985 Mustang as the most trouble-free vehicle I've ever owned.

I have not received one, but last week I got a letter from ford to see if I wanted to have my truck shipped to roush in Livonia for emissions testing. Apparently they were gonna provide me a vehicle as well, and emphasized they would fix any issues and it wouldn’t affect my warranty. My truck isn’t even paid off, which why I also thought it was strange. I think I have 8 months left until it’s paid off.

I personally did not do it as I don’t trust ford or a third party having my truck that far away from my local area. (I honestly don’t even trust the dealer but don’t have a choice for warranty stuff)

has anyone else done this or received the mailer at least? I suspect you have to live in Michigan for it to select you.

So far I’ve loved my 5th Gen Ranger, despite all the problems I’ve found. I am disappointed with the 2 piece lug nuts as all ford vehicles these days use them, and they tend to swell too quickly in the hotter weather. Couldn’t tell you how many vehicles have come into the shop with swollen lugnuts where we’d strip them just to get them off. Just very cheap. And an easy way for dealerships to get $50-$80 out of lug nuts from you as they can typically range $6-$9 (highest I’ve seen) from the dealership per lugnut. The Seals around the doors are very bad too. Being in the countryside the Ford OEM Shock absorbers (Off-road version) are very cheaply made as well. I had installed brand new shock absorbers on my truck maybe 2-3 months ago. And they are already worn out. Came to terms that aftermarket front and rear suspension parts are a better option, as they are higher quality parts (if buying the right ones) and they don’t wear out within the quarter of a year. The electronics in the Ranger are notorious too I find. Overall, ford itself is very cheaped out and never want to give recalls for major issues unless absolutely have to. Other than those issues, and few others i haven’t stated, I love the truck. The 4 Banger engine is incredible for what it is, and the transmission is great when their cheap CDF drum doesn’t kill out on you.
