What did you receive in the mail today for your Ranger?

That's a great looking container, looks like a really nice build.

Thanks for letting us know, I'm looking for something smaller than my 5-gallon Justrite - ideally something to fit in front of my wheel hump in that "empty space" screaming to be filled with something (the other side front space has my tire chains standing upright velcroed to the BedRug).

Update: the 5-liter size looks to be the perfect dimensions for my needs - you know, for those extended dump runs! =D

Might as well get the 10 liter.....5 liter costs almost the same as the 10 liter. 1 1/4 gallons vs. 2 1/2 gallons.
Also, the 10 has a storage clip for the nozzle....the 5 doesn't...have to store it separately.
And, it fits perfectly in front of the wheel well on our Scab's....

Wow, the 10 liter does fit perfectly. Maybe because my BedRug is baggy, I thought it needed to be smaller.

But a picture's worth a thousand words and consider it on order (sold out at Wavian but available elsewhere like Grainger).

It's a good thing you don't give into temptation to buy ALL the stuff that's posted on here....I could have said that 2 gas cans would be ideal....one for each side !!! You know, to balance the stance of Soupie.

@Grumpaw , have you tried adding fuel to your tank yet using that valved spout? I've always found them a PITA to deal with, especially if you need to deal with the funnel in our capless filler neck.

No he did the math and realized if he loads the single can on the passengers side it is the proper weight so the truck rides level - side to side . . .

Nope, haven't yet. I'll play around with it in the next few days...drag the Rangers funnel out and try it.
Not too concerned, even if it takes awhile. For an emergency only and haven't run out of gas yet....came real close a few times though.
I will tell you though, that the spring on the nozzle that you have to retract to let the gas flow, is one strong spring....no way will it retract by itself or accident. This is supposed to be a leak proof and vapor escape proof can. Plan is to fill it and place it in sun to see if expanding fuel vapors escape, to be smelled by my schnoz.

That 5-gallon Justrite is a pain to pour into the Ranger! I use a larger aftermarket capless funnel, but to get all the gas out, you risk nicking the paint and have to be real careful (or use a rag as a buffer).

McGard black lug nuts. Just got one pack to make sure they fit. For the OE wheels you need a lug nut with a 60 degree angle on the base.

It's not the most compact thing to carry with you but I use a long power steering funnel, Walmart, about $3.99. I use it all the time, cut about 2" off the end for faster flow. Local grocery store chain gives you fuel points to use at the convenience store chain they own but your max purchase is 30 gallons. I wait until get up to around 80 cents then I get ALL my 30 gallons, fill the truck plus 3 five gallon cans. I just unscrew the spout and pour it into the funnel.

I have this one, it's bigger than the OEM one but it sounds like yours is even better! If it's like the pic above, it does look like a longer tip, even after trimming some off.

Yes. The one I have is about 20" long and you can fill it with a fair bit of gas.
